I thought and I may be dreaming, but is there someplace here that if I search for a coupon it would tell me what insert it comes from?

Yes, look in the coupon database. It's one of the tabs on the top of the page.

in the description field type in the insert date in the following format DD-MM-YY

For example 09-11-11

You can further narrow your results by inserting RP, SS, GM or PG at the end to correspond with the insert

RP - RedPlum
SS - SmartSource
GM - General Mills
PG - Proctor & Gamble.
