Yes, I am registered for both. The e-coupons do not come off at the register, instead the amount gets deposited into your account. Which can up to 30 days depending on the store.
idk if this is the right forum, but if it is, does anyone use savingstar or upromise? ive registered my loyalty cards there, and uploaded all of the coupons, but i've yet to see any of them come off at the register. i'm very confused and dont know how to utilize these programs. anyone have any insight?

oh man, i should really read up on it then. i'm sorry for asking this, but what exactly am i signed up for then? lol. i have CVS, Food Lion, Rite Aid, and Harris Teeter cards registered to it and I'm not sure what you mean by my account. Is it like I'm building money up and I can cash it out when I reach a certain limit? Or is like a $3 coupon and takes up to 30 days for the coupon to be used? I'm reading back what I'm typing and I'm confusing myself I hope you can understand this. sorry!
very sorry, i should have read it when i signed up for it! i just read "how it works" on the website, and just so I understand correctly, I buy the item that I got the ecoupon for and it takes up to 30 days to be put in my savingstar account, and when I reach a certain limit i.e $5 then they will give me something like a giftcard for that amount?
With SavingStar, yes, once you reach $5, you can cash out for an Amazon GC, send it to your Paypal or your bank account.
For Upromise, (c/p from their site!)
The money you earn from your everyday spending with Upromise partners goes directly into your Upromise account. You can choose to invest your earnings in a high-yield savings account or tax-deferred 529 plan; use it to pay down a student loan; or request a check that can be used for college or other expenses.
HTH!

Also, you can't use both savingstar and upromise coupons for the same item. Savingstar is a spinoff of Upromise. So you will have to choose to load the coupon from one site or the other. You should hold on to your receipts and keep track of the items you bought that qualify since it takes so long for the savings to show up in your account. One thing I like about Savingstar is it is easy to add coupons and check my account balance from my smartphone.
No wonder I couldnt find any coupons to load on upromise! It really stinks that you can't do both.

Thanks for clarifying that. I had been searching for the information. Again something else not clearly spelled out to get you to sign in.
So is this worth signing up for?
Yes! I might be biased since I work at SavingStar, but our eCoupons are exclusively sourced by us, so you'll find savings you won't find anywhere else. We add coupons throughout the month, and since they are paperless, there's nothing to clip or print. If you have an iPhone or Android, you can even select the eCoupons while walking in the store. It's really simple to use, and selecting coupons only takes a few seconds. -Josh
