Sorry... had a momentary meltdown!!

I actually have discovered the publix forums here, and LOVE LOVE LOVE them (it?)!!! It's just with the publix I have to shop at, it's about an hour away (I work in said town also...) and b/c I'm a doofus (yep, I said it... a doofus!! ) I seem to forget my lists at home roughtly 64 % of the time, so I have to make another one at work... where I'd be knee deep on well... let's not go there... if they caught me on HCW, since it's a bbs ( work in insurance, so they're quite strict... ) so I use grocery guide as a list on the fly, so to speak! I've tried other states and not found them there, other cities, etc... guess I'll just have to remember my lists!!

hmmm.... maybe that whole crazy 'breathing' thing can help me remember my lists too?

Hi has anyone been having trouble getting into the the grocery guide.

When I go in it tells me "The server is not working at this time."

I hope this is okay to post .. but I need some backup...

I started couponing in July w/ GG and then someone told me about HCW. I still use my list weekly as a guide from GG and I just haven't been able to give up the grocery store lists yet.

I have 5 kids and don't really have the time to match up the coupons w/ the sales ads every week so it really helped to get me started.

I guess I just don't feel confident enough w/ my short-term experience to REALLY know when it's the best deal or BEST time to use the coupon.... I know there are a couple other sites that list the weekly coupons, but not the same as GG.

Are there any other 'hard core' HCW's that use GG ?? Or .. am I just a weeny for not 'letting it go' ...

Im sure you can guess what my answer will be. LOL

I have 5 kids and have never used the lists....I can do OK with looking at a sale paper and knowing what coupons I have. Then I rely on the kindness of strangers (HCW members) to fill in the blanks and help with senarios.

But this is my thinking personaly, that you should eventually get to a point where you can do this on your own for the most part and recognize yourself what is a great price. We have a philosophy of teaching a man (or woman) to fish.....instead of giving you the fish.

If I am not mistaken, GG is ******* ****. It's a website you go to and sign up for service (you have to pay). You are emailed a list weekly with the store you choose, where the sales are matched up with the right coupons and also, some non advertised sales are listed that are supposedly at rock bottom prices. I think that's the gist.

GG is a competing website that requires you to pay for a list of deals. The name of the site is not allowed to be posted.

I used GG before finding HCW, canceled after trialmembership. HCW is sooooo much better and FREE too! If you read posts on your favorite stores you will find that a lot of times somone will post the deals & match up the Q's for you. No sense in paying for this when HCW members love to help each other out. I'm sure you can do this on your own now but if you have any ?s just ask. Someone on this board will most likely know.It really is a great board. Love It!!!

I am going on my third year with the GG and 2nd with HCW. I use the GG because I don't have the time to match up ads/coupons. I use HCW to fill in the rest. I adore them both and am very thankful to everyone who posts good deals.
