Trade Notification?

I didn't know this existed until now. I clicked on the notifications under my avatar & a list of my haves w/ traders who want. I tried to reply to one, but I lost it. I can't find the notifications to click on again. How do I get back to that list? TIA.

Go into the coupon database and click on the "Trades (actual and potential)" tab. Then there are sub-tabs for "incoming", "outgoing", and archived. They are probably under the "outgoing" tab.

Click on that and scan down the list. The notification will be in the last column titled "Active Trades".

So on this train of thought...I "initiated" a trade with several members thru this column. It now shows that I sent them the msg. How do they get notified that they have this msg. Does it show up in their PM mailbox. I think they do not even know I have sent them, since only 1 replied??

Anytime you receive a message in the data bast the recipient will get a "notifications" notice where you normally would see "private messages". Once they click on notifications a drop down box appears they they simply click on the line with a number in it and they will automatically be directed to the correct area. It doesn't take you directly to the message so they/you may have to scroll down to find it.

It is perfectly ok too to send a follow-up PM if you initiate a trade in the db and the other party doesn't respond. I know I don't always get in to my trades in there every day and some people don't look at it often if at all. So you can always just say "hey sent you a trade in the db just wanted to make sure you saw it"

I totally agree with the PM. For some reason, my notifications don't pop up on the screen. So a PM is a good idea.

I really wish there was a way traders could click a button and they would not show up in the list of people who have a certain coupon. That way when each of us takes trading breaks, active traders are not wasting time sending pms. I have gotten a very polite, I'm not trading right now to a nastier Can't you read? My signature says I'm not trading right now. You can't see the signature in the drop down menu.

Also, so many people are not utilizing the database, that I just send a pm. Well, I have encountered where coupons aren't coming off lists of people who aren't using the database to complete the trade. {{shrug}}

I so agree!!! Who do we give a suggestion like that to? I've had some of the same problems. People really get snippy sometimes if I initiate a trade when they didn't want me to. There should at least be a way to connect to any messages like that on their siggy.
