Feature Requests

I have gone over my own notes and posts posted by our members and have started a list of feature requests for members. While I can not promise that each request will come to fruition it does not hurt to ask for them.

Here is my starter list to get us started:

List Tabs

• Member added General trading terms to the top of wish and have list perm. Links The same introductory text that member use when they update their post would be on members perm links.

Perm. Links

• A way to PM a member from the Perm. Link pages.
• View trader feedback score from Perm. Links.

Search/Add

• Add in the following to sources - Satisfaction Guarantees, Points, Rainchecks
• In Search results add the page numbers to the bottom of the page as well (currently they are only displayed at the top of the search results.)
• Allow use of the 'Enter' Key to to submit instead of having to click the "Submit" web button
• When in the search results display in a column H/W/K to indicate that this coupon is already on one of your lists.(H= Have, W = Wish, K = Keep)

Trading

• General Term Wish/Have List Matches (Example: Can add "Flat Earth" and it will show you all members that have ANY Flat Earth coupons
• Multiple Coupon Trades (Example: Coupon database will show you all possible matches from have and wish lists so that you can do larger trades with the same member
• Delete or Hide items in the history tab so that you do not see them forever
• On trades tabs have the option to narrow your member results by feedback score Example: Let me choose to show only traders with 100% feedback, etc.
• On trades tabs have the option to narrow your member results location Example: Let me choose to show only traders in a certain state/states for fast trades.
• When a trade has been initiated in the give the owner of the coupon the option to mark it as pending so that (1) it is not offered to other traders and (2) it is not deleted from a members list till it has actually been traded and mailed.
• Do not remove trades at all from the trades pending tab until member archives it, no matter who removes it from thier list.

I have a couple--
1) allow adding expired coupons, since some are ISO expireds. --I was trying to add all my expireds b/c I have no use for them and want to get them to someone who can use them, and if they werent in the DB I had trouble listing them.....

2) allow an option for unknown insert I spent a really long time trying to add some coupons that had been clipped and didnt know what insert they came from, I finally decided to say they came froma booklet then in description wrote that it came from an unknown insert (hope that was ok) :)


3) also I would LOVE it if the cursor would automatically go to the quantity field when I choose to add a coupon to my lists... that would make it so much quicker for me as I wouldnt ever have to move my cursor to the middle of the screen (I dunno how hard this would be or if its possible but it would be awesome.....)

also is there any way we could have a save feature? cause a couple times I had trouble with coupons being lost off my list and having to go back and re-add them..... the first time it was like 10 of them, the second time it was only 3, but still a little bit of a pain. I'm thinking the problem came from me being logged out of the system while adding coupons because both times I had to relog in.....


oh and is there any way to sort by amounts, expiration, etc when searching the DB? like make those headers clickable to choose to sort by them?

I mean in the actual section called Category. Unless it will go through without choosing a category, haven't fiddled that much with that, but like there is a beer rebate I keep meaning to put in but it requires buy this and that with this and I haven't put it in yet cause I'm too lazy to click allll the categories it could fall under. :P

I would love a feature that pulls all coupons from a specific insert. Then, have the option of choosing the actual coupons you got in your area and then somehow adding all of them to your have list at once. As opposed to doing it one at a time right now.

Something that tells you when you have a new trade offered. Since I've been slowly working on learning the new system I realized someone had offered a trade. I then had to track down their real account to PM them about it since I don't have my HL up yet. If I hadn't gone back to check that tab for fun I might have ignored them accidentally...

I think an option to not delete something off your have list or wishlist if you have a pending trade would be a good thing. When you look at your HL/WL you don't know (or you can't remember if you are me) that you have a trade unless you go over to the trading tab. That's how I accidentally lost some pending trades.

If the system wouldn't let me delete the item if I have some sort of comment or trade, that would be really awesome. Am I making sense? I hope so!

I second this idea. In addition to adding them to your have's list all at once, you could also add them to your wishlist all at once. The later would be especially helpful since Q amounts vary so much regionally.

I would sell DH soul for a multiple coupon feature and a notification system.

This is more of a bug fix rather than an added feature, but I often do not get alerted when I try to add an item to my have/wish list that is already there. I end up with a lot of duplicates.

In addition to this can you make each H, W, K a hotlink so that we can click on them and edit our lists directly from the search screen? (i.e. so that we can add additional quantities to our lists for coupons that are already there).
