Questions about the NEWLY REVISED Coupon Database - post them here....

Here's a screenshot of what I get in the database now...typing into the description field does NOTHING for me :(

I do get an error icon in the bottom left hand of my window...I attached a screenshot of that error, as well.

I'm using IE 6.0...I wonder if there's something wrong with my settings? I restored them to defaults, and it still didn't work.

Also, when I add an item from the database to my wishlist, I can see the value of the coupon on the database tab and wishlist tab, but cannot see it on the trade tab. It makes it a bit confusing. I'll admit I'm VERY visual. If I can't see all the information that I need, I'm probably not going to use the feature.

And will there be a way to tell if a person has more than one item from our wish list or if we have things they are looking for as well? For what I'm seeing I'm going to need to click on several different screens to find that information. When before I could see it just by opening their post.

The place I see the dates wrong are when you go to the user list link you have. That is where it lists all of us that have attempted to make a list with the new database. I imagine the part where it has date modified is to help us determine if someones list is current. Right now it is showing an August date.

I tweeked a setting for you, can you check for me and see if you still only see the first two search features?

I can see if we can get that additonal information to show on the trades tab. I agree with you, that is a bit confusing to remember which coupon you are trading for etc.

Currently we are bringing single coupon trades via the trade tab, if we get enough positive feedback on this we will be building out a multiple trade feature to allow you to select multiple coupons from one member and trade in one dialog box. But before we build that out we want to make sure that the trade tab feature is a tool that members like and are using. I plan to re-evaluate this in about a months time.

I still can't update a wish or have list as I'm still getting the internal error message & have been ever since the DB was activated earlier this morning.

ETA: Just an FYI, also if you go here Coupon Database & click on anyone's have or wish list link nothing shows up. However, if you click on the both link a window pops up.

Ok, so I've been playing around, adding coupons to my wishlist and havelist. So far, I like it! Now my question.
I can't use expired coupons, so will I need to go through and delete any coupons from my WL that are exp or will those drop from the list automatically? I know some can use expireds, so I would want to keep those listed in my Trade list for a little while past the exp.

Ok, I was able to enter a few coupons that weren't in the database, but they required me to enter in the amount I have available even if I wasn't interested in trading them. I tried to choose that I wanted them in my keep & wish lists, but it wouldn't let me add them if I didn't enter a value between 1 and 100 in the "have list" category. Then it appears as if I'm interesting in an outgoing trade when I'm not.

In the dropdown box for "Expired" the options are:
Not
Is
Any
1 Month
3 Month
6 Month

The 'Not', 'Is', and 'Any' work, but the 1,3 and 6 months don't do anything...what are they suppose to do?
When choosing the "3 Month" option I was hoping it would show me coupons up to 3 months expired...but nothing happened.

First let me start with I was hoping to have instructions done today, and they are. But I sent them to a buddy to proofread for me and she has not gotten them back to me. She mentioned hope to do it while baby was asleep...all us moms know what that is like so I am hoping to have them posted tomarow.

You will need to sort your list(s) as needed by expiration date and delete the expired ones from time to time.

When you add entries to the coupon database and you are not wanting to trade these coupons just uncheck the box next to add coupon to have list. You can add without doing any of the trading stuff.

If you have things on your have list that you did not intend to be there just delete them off.

The expiration by month will show you for example If you choose 3 Month it wll show you all coupons that expired within the last 3 months PLUS current coupons. So if you can use expired coupons up to 3 months you can search for both current and expired within that time frame. I choose the most commonly heard how expired that some folks can use in 1, 3, and 6 months expired. Anyone that can use more than that should choose Any or Is. (this is explained better in my instructions...I hope, so once they get up I hope that will be explained better.)
