Coupon Database - Questions Ask Them Here Please (Old thread)

I have created this thread for members to ask their questions about the coupon database.

But before you start posting your questions and read the Coupon Database User Guide first so that you have a basic understanding about what the Coupon Database is and how you use it.

If your question can not be answered by reading the user guide then come on back to this thread and post your question and I will try to get it answered ASAP.

I can not get into the database. I am logged it and it will tell me to log in again and I will and it will still not let me in. Can you tell me why? TIA

SMP means Specially Marked Packages... meaning that this particular form was found on the package o Robitussin.

Hello! I looked through the CDB guide but could not find how to do this.
If I want to search through all the printables - I put the source in as printable, but fill in no more info on the search criteria box. It gives me the first 200 responses (of 700+ possibles). Is it possible to move to the next 200 and so forth until I have been able to see all printables. Thanks.

There is not a way to do that, sorry. You have to narrow your search results down by entering other search criteria.

I was about to go to UNO's (Pizzeria) and I know the Sunday inserts sometimes have coupons for them but there was nothing in the database, I also looked for Red Lobster and nothing (expired or not) - do we not put those coupons in the database?

When I do the weekly upload of the insert coupons, no I don't have information on those types of coupons, I also don't have the information for most rebates that come in the inserts as well. BUT members are encouraged to enter any coupons that I might have missed. I focus on the manf and store coupons as I have that information available to me. Please feel free to enter any restraunt or other coupons in the database though. Just remember that those coupons vary from region to region. So if you search in the database for them...they may not have come in your inserts.

so I guess I'll repost my question.

so I've added 3 coupons to the database... how do I see if they are attached to me? How can I modify my entries? Say I forgot to put some information in to the description? Or that I want to update the type of coupon they are. I listed them as an other, but they are something like a circular coupon.

The link you posted to is where to ask questions about the NEW database...this thread is a bit old and applies to the OLD DB. Once we get some stuff done I will be updating the threads.

But I will go ahead and answer your questions.

Once you have added a coupon it is not really attached to you in anyway in that you can edit the coupon. If you have added it to one of your lists (have/wish/keep) you can only edit how many you have and the categories for that coupon.

So if you made a mistake you will need to search for the coupon(s) you entered and choose 'Report' from the action drop down and report the coupon. (instructions on how to report are in the instruction manual now http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/view.php?pg=using_coupon_database)

Then when one of us database admins get a moment we will fix the coupon(s) for you. Its not really a wiki in that you can edit all your entries.
