Curious - High value fabric softener

I think either early this year or last year, snuggle put out a $3/1 coupon (at least I think it was snuggle, it has been that long ago) and everyone was extremely excited. The various posts, however, kind of led me to believe that this was a frequent occasion...as in maybe once a year type of thing.

Does anyone know if it is? I was wondering, since I haven't really seen a high value one lately, if it was going to happen again, and if the cycle would be soon...

It was for Gain. Well at least that's the one I had.
I would love if it came around again. I'm getting low!!
Been using some that I made from vinegar and orange peels. Good enoygh for now but not in warm weather when I hang clothes online.

The Snuggle came out about a year ago. I know the coupon expired on 12/31/11 because I marked it on my calendar of coupons to use before they expire. I still have about 20 bottles of softner and 30 boxes left but would love to see another coupon come out again soon. I went a little nuts on those coupons and bought all I could find

According to the coupon database there was one $3.00 off coupons for fabric softener (that was my search term) that came out this year in the inserts:

Gain Fabric Softener or Sheets (Limit 4 like coupons in same shopping trip) - 02-13-11 RP - $3.00/1 - Exp 3/31/2011

However I don't actually see a trend that we should expect this same coupon frequently or often.

That is not to say that there are never any decent coupons. In 2011 we saw some nice $1.00/1 $2.00/1 and $2.00/2 coupons that may have netted some folks some cheap or free fabric softener. Sheets tend to go on sale cheaper than the liquid if you ask me and with a nice $1.00/1 coupon I usually can get some brands free or about 25¢ a box.

Looking at the trends on what coupons came out last year I would say we might see some higher value fabric softener coupons in January. But that is pure speculation on my part.

Also I just looked at insert coupons, so there may have been other high value coupons from other sources.

Motherof molly: I actaully got the recipe from someone else on here. So love this site. LOl
I just put 2-4 orange peels in about 1/2 gallon of vinegar and let sit for few days. I just did mine in half empty vinegar jug. Then I strained out the peels and put mix in an old (rinsed out) softener bottle. I strained it cuz I didnt want peels going into the dispenser on my front loader and getting stuck.
