SONIC has a new type of coupons

My son works at Sonic today he came in with two poker looking tokens. He said something about them being new form of coupons for sonic. They were for a free soft drink of your choice. Thye are somewhat heavy,so I am wondering if this is sonic's way of keeping their coupons from being sold on ebay and such.

Anyone else saw these yet?

I have 2 of them. I had to wait so long for a lousy drink one night that they gave me 2 that are for a free medium cherry limeade. They're cute. They're supposed to be a peppermint & on the other side it says "Every Customer is Worth a Mint."

I doubt it's about keeping coupons out of circulation. They've changed their menu & everything now, so it's probably just a marketing thaaang.

Thats the ones he brought home but they also say good on any drink on them.

I got a fastpass the other day you call a number and they give you a 16 dig number to wirte on the recipt that you have and you turn it in for a free route 44. Use to they would mail you a coupon for that drink.

My daughter is a partner in three Sonics, those poker chip coupons are supposed to be used for "oops" rewards to customers for messing up an order or an order being delayed.

It's up to the individual locations whether they have them or not to give out, it's not a Sonic Corp requirement

I know that is the first time I have saw them. He said his boss gave him two to thank him for working a double shift because the 3rd shift person did not come in to work.

He says that if a order takes over 12 minutes to reach the car then its free..so to me I had much reither have my hole order free than to have a free drink poker chip. I have never got a free order and did not even know that until he told me the other night.

I am proud of Sonic for it has shown him that he dont want to be stuck here with that kind of job the rest of his life.He now has a plain as to what he wants to do. Join the Navy, I dont agree with that totatly but its his choice..

12 minutes!!!! OMG! Curb time should be under 2 minutes, 2.5 minutes is acceptable as per my corporate & daughters standard! 12 minutes would have someone on notice

My daughter started working as a car hop part time when she was 15. She continued to work there part time when she finished high school and took classes for nursing. Got her CNA certification and then was offered Gen Mgr position and decided to give it a whirl, two years later, she was given partnership in three locations and is now about to get 2 more locations - supervisory position. Good money She was taking night classes in business management while she was GM - nursing is still an option but she's happy with her work/salary now so it's in the wings if need be.
