How do you kno when to dumpster dive?

I amplanning on starting to dumpster dive this week....How do you kno when to go?

If you go often enough you'll learn when the pick-up days are so you won't be staring at the bottom of an empty bin.

We have huge recycling dumpsters in my area so they are only dumped once a month or so. That makes for good diving a few weeks each month-- not too low, not too high. If I'm hoping to find the newest inserts, my best time is from a few days to up to a week after issue. That's long enough for people to recycle their Sunday papers.

also you learn when who threw what away...I can got the the paper recycle bin here and I now know about which days the left over papers are brought.. I think most people go on the same days each week for its just habit to do it that way

I just hear of all these people having 50+ coupons and i would love to have that many! I have tried calling my local gas stations n other places and so many people are couponing that they are already taken! I'm hoping this is the way to go

We also have a huge recycling dumpster that is just for paper so I'm glad I wont be diggin thru any old food or anything like that!!

I know what you mean, I even called my local recycling plant and they said that they don't let people take stuff that they have picked up? Does this mean I will get in trouble for trying? I've been trying to think of any other way I can get multiples of my coupons from the sunday paper......not matter what, "dumpster diving" just keeps coming into my thoughts.

Yea it does me too. Theres one at each of the elementary schools in my neighborhood, so about 4 in a 2 mile radius. My biggest fear is getting in and getting stuck LOL.
