Columbus Ohio - newspaper subscriptions

Does anyone in Columbus have tips on where to get cheap papers with coupons? I have a subscription to the Dispatch (Sundays only) and it's just so expensive. Are there any other papers that can be delivered in Columbus? Or any tips on places to buy the paper for less than $2? Thanks in advance!

When you cancel your subscription to the Dispatch, they will call and offer you a lower rate. Just last week, they offered me either Saturday and Sunday or Wednesday and Sunday, for $2.00 per week. I didn't resubscribe though ...

I'm thinking the last time I picked up a Dispatch, it was 1.50 at the UDF at Linworth and 161. I also would appreciate a heads up, with Kroger changing their gas program now, any little bit helps.

Rite Aid sells newspapers in Toledo. I get a 20% discount with the Wellness card (Gold level). You could get even more savings with a 3.00 off 15.00 survey coupon using one of the receipt codes. I rounded up a few yesterday at 2 different stores along with the Tide powder to reach the 15.00 level. They had lots of papers, but I didn't want to come close to clearing the racks. There was a 3.00 RA peelie for the Tide and the 1.00 mailer coupon. It was a cheap way to get papers and Tide. Another survey code came out too. HTH

Someone told me you can get them at Dollar Tree (and other dollar stores?) for $1? That doesnt seem right because why wouldnt every one go there but I havent actually called to check it out.

I guess I should try this. I only get it on Sundays and I paid for the whole year, $129 which comes out to about $2.50 a week! That's more than the cost to just buy it at the store but we like to have the paper first thing in the morning on Sunday. I will check at Dollar Tree when I need to buy extras. Thanks for all the ideas!

Maybe when your year's subscription is up, you can call and negotiate a lower rate.

I cancled my Sunday only Dispatch delivery. I also hate paying extra. My husband just picks it up on his way home from church now.
