Where to get inserts

i am looking for inserts. IT cost 2.00 For the paper. Some coupons services no longer offer overnight and I would be most of the week getting them. What other options could you suggest Thanks

Have you checked out Dollar Tree. They sell them for $1.00 each.

I have gotten them off of ebay...I usually wait til a good week and get a bunch of different weeks...and they do priority mail...so I get them in two days.

We have a huge group of traders that often get multiples of inserts each week & we also have clipping services located here.

Tonight, I emailed four different newspapers and asked them if they would save me all their left over inserts ~ advising I would be happy to pay a postage/handling fee. Hopefully, they will all say yes!!

Well, I took some advice from the many who shared with me that they get their inserts from the recycle dumpsters. I finally broke down and did it. I went out today. It was really unreal what all I found. For one thing, in my community, [population of entire community around me is roughly 180,000] there are more than 35 different sites in town that have recycle bins/dumpsters. Plenty to choose from!

So the first one I went to, I saw the garbage truck actually loading up the newspapers. So, I was too late for that site. The next site I got to, I found two SS right away, then seemed to just dig for a few minutes. Next thing I know, there is that same garbage man on his garbage truck, backing up towards my van & the dumpsters!! LOL So, I had to ski-daddle on outta there in a hurry dont ya know.

So, deciding I didnt wanna play that game all afternoon, I decided to go to some of the places up north. [The first ones I went to were all in South]. Sure enough, I was left totally alone at one site! Some folks leave the dumpster lids open & so a lot were soaked from all the rain we got. But for the ones that werent, I made out like a bandit. In a matter of less than 6 minutes, I had grabbed 3 PG from the first Sunday in April, as well as 8 SS from yesterday!

All in all, I was out about an hour, and I came home with 22 full inserts, as well as a couple dozen single sheets that had fallen out or had a Q cut out here or there already.
I'd say that's not too bad, considering Ive been paying close to $20 a week to get 5 inserts shipped to me!
One other sore spot though-- up until this month, Ive ALWAYS gotten my Red Plum insert. However, I have not yet gotten one in any Sunday paper this entire month. Ive heard a lot of people on HCW say they are also not getting Red Plums anymore, and no one knows what is up with that or why some areas arent getting them anymore. Wish somebody out there knew???

Lastly, I went to high school with the editor of our paper, who lives a few houses down from me, who's little girl plays with my little girl DAILY, etc and I just simply could not get up the nerve to ask him about inserts. I figured being Editor he oughta know right? But what if he doesnt, or what if it insults him that I am asking him about them?

So, I decided to email the paper instead. I asked them where our RP inserts have gone this month. I didnt get a straight answer at all. I was told "well they arent out every week ya know".

I replied, Yeah, I do know, because Ive found out online which inserts are out which Sunday. So then I asked her if I could come on downtown there and pick up my inserts. LOL Ive not gotten a reply to that email just yet.

So, there's an update from a newbie who's just gettin serious about all of this. It isnt hard to dig in a dumpster! It just feels funny knowing folks are watching you & giving you the evil eye! Try it!
