HELP best paper for inserts ~ Western PA Friends

What newspapers do you find have the best inserts? I live about 30 min. south of Erie and usually buy the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Tribune Review, Erie Times News and Meadville Tribune. Has anyone had luck with any others?

I didn't know where else to post this, and since GE is our area, I though maybe you guys would have some insight! :0)

Pittsburgh Post and Tribune are the best I can get in my area. I am about in the middle of erie and pittsburgh. I cannot get the erie paper even.

Are there different coupon inserts in the Trib than in the PGazette?

Yes, the Trib sometimes has less coupons (generally Colgate/Palmolive aren't in the Trib)

Yes, I've found that the PG is my best bet - most coupons. The other papers often have the same coupons with different amounts off. Once in a while each paper will have a few that the others don't, but usually they are much the same.

I live in Pittsburgh, though my folks live in Erie and they give me their inserts (the Smart Source in the Erie Times News as well as the Redplum and Proctor and Gamble that's delivered in the mail).

In my experience Erie's Smart Source has many, but not all, of the same coupons as the Post Gazette, but the values are typically not as attractive. For example, when there is a $0.50/1 coupon in the Post Gazette, they might appear as $1.00/2 in Erie's version. It makes me think they don't want people to take advantage of doubling Qs in the Erie distribution region (which includes Buffalo, Jamestown, Olean, etc. if you look at the spine of the coupon insert). I have very rarely seen the Erie Smart Source having a coupon that the Pittsburgh Post Gazette does not have (except for local restaurants, etc.), or having one that has a better value than the Post Gazette.

To a lesser extent, what I've said also applies to Erie's Red Plum and Proctor and Gamble inserts from the postal mail.

As others have already said, get the Post-Gazette if you can!
