Trouble printing coupons - "Unsupported Personality: PCL"

I recently got a new HP computer. My printer is an older model HP B&W laser printer. I have trouble printing some coupons, mostly on companies websites but occasionally on redplum.

It will appear the coupon has printed but when I take the page out of the printer all I see is - "Unsupported Personality: PCL"

The website thinks I have printed the coupon so it thinks I have reached the printing limit and I have no coupons to show for it.

Any suggestions for this?

Look in your Hp hand book and see what if says about that message printing if you cant find the reason you many want to emial or call Hp about the ptoblem.

Hi. Have you tried to find a new driver for that printer? It's possible if it's old that HP doesn't support it anymore and therefore no drivers compatible with the coupon sites. Hope that's not the case. If you can't find an update I would email HP CS and ask if they know of a compatible driver. Good luck!

yep i bet that is what it is, i never thought of that.. but I did have to download a new on my new laptop before I could use it to print from my hp all in one printer.

I have discovered it's a driver issue and HP no longer supports this printer. There are some temporary fixes that are a pain but they'll have to do for now.

O.k I am going to post my own problem here so I am hoping some one might be able to steer me in the right direction.
On saturday I printed using my computer then later in the day on saturday something went hay wire. I tried to pirin the huggies $3.00/1 (IP) and it acted as if it was sending to my printer and never printed. I though it was something to do with some one on the house phone because the land line runs through the printer/fax.
So then today
I try to print the spin brush (IP) and same thing happened it said you coupons are printing and nothing came out printer didn't even respond. So in my jobs there are 4 jobs waitning to print I can nor figure out what to to from there. I don't know if myo coupons will print if and when I figure out what to do. I know they tried but there must be a setting or somthing that is off. Any Ideas anyone, Thanks!!

I sometimes get that too CouponQueen23 and I usually have to cancel all print jobs and call it a loss on the coupons.

However you can try pausing and resuming each print job one at a time and see if you can get them to print.

If that does not work try turning your printer off for a few min and then turning it back on as long as that won't cancel your print jobs. It does not on my computer.

I cleared all my jobs waiting to print. I tried a couple of ip that I really didn't want just because I have have already missed out on a few I really wanted. So Everything I try to print is just comming up as an error in my queue. Nothing will print from my lap top. I am so confused what to do. Any ideas? Thanks!

Will other things print? Like can you print a document? Or is it just coupons that will not print?

Sometimes my stupid Dell printer acts like a jerk and I have to completely unplug everything. I unplug it from the wall, and unplug the USB cord from the printer and from my computer. When I plug everything back in, magically the world is right again.
