Missing Coupon Inserts

I bought 4 Houston Chronicle newspapers this past Sunday, but didn't have a chance to sit down & go through them until last night. Would you belive that every single paper was missing the coupon inserts .

I tried to return the papers to the corner store, but they would not take them. I called the newspaper & they just kept trying to get me to sign up for a subscription. I guess I just lost that $8

Always check your papers before you pay.

This happened to me several months back, and when I complained to the paper they told me that it was part of cost-cutting measures. They bought a certain number of inserts, and when they were out, they were out. The papers with the inserts went to home delivery first, and not even those were guaranteed to have them.

Normally I do check first, but I was feeling lazy on Sunday so my son went to the store & got my papers for me. I guess I learned my lesson!

That truly bites. Here I am po'ed because some of the q's were missing from a couple of the papers I bought. Not so po'ed after reading what happened to you.

I know it, I should have looked....I bought 5 minneapolis star&tribune and coupons were pulled out!!
