Trouble printing from multiple computers

Hi,

This is my first post and I hope I'm posting in the right place.

Up until yesterday I had been printing 2 IP's from my laptop as well at 2 from our desktop. Yesterday I was printing coupons and after printing them from the laptop I moved to the desktop to print extras and I kept getting the dreaded message that says sorry you have already printed the limit. At first I thought perhaps I had printed them previously so I dismissed it.

Well today I went to print again and I was trying to get the $0.99 for coke that is on facebook. I know with no doubt that I have NEVER printed that coupon from the desktop computer. I printed 2 from the laptop then went to the desktop and try to print to more and again it said I had already printed the limit. I am now having this problem with all coupons. Even coupons.com will say I've already printed them when I know have not printed them from that computer.

Why did it work just fine until yesterday???? I have searched this forum and google and I can't find any mention of others having this problem.

(both computers are running off the same wireless router)

I'm not technical enough to know for sure, but it seems logical that the router would be the reason. Especially since no one else is complaining about this - at least that I'm aware of.

with facebook, it is linked to your facebook account..so if printed them once, not going to be able to do again, no matter what computer you use...with the others, not sure..I use a router for my desktop and laptop, and sons laptop, and do not have problems printing mulrtiple coupons...so should not be the router..but try unplugging it, wait a few minutes, and reset it...

I use my facebook account from one computer and my husbands for the other and for things you have to sign up for I have separate emails for each computer too. The router suggestion could be a possibility because it is getting old and I'm having other troubles with it like I can no longer turn the security on because it won't let anyone on even with the password.

I unplugged and reset my router a few weeks ago and I don't recommend it. I had to call and it took an hour to reconfigure the computers. It is a hassle and the technician said no matter what never reset the router.

Okay, I give. What's a router? Is it to wireless, what a modem is to DSL?

A router is what you hook up to your modem so that you can connect wirelessly to the internet with a laptop. It allows you to have several computers sharing the same internet connection.

Ahhh, okay. I could see how that might be an issue if it's playing out on you then. Let us know if you get a new one & that fixes it.

I used to be able to print from desktop and 2 more from laptop but can't always do it now.

My wireless router is from my cable company.

I would have to ask DH (computer genius) but I print from the laptop and the two main computers here at the house and have no problems.
