AJC double paper increase

I didn't notice that but how come those guys at the intersections still have it for a $1? So now even with 25c tip on each for 2 you pay $2.50. I see them on my way to Publix and will start doing so:)

The AJC double issues from my CVS were marked $3, but rung up $2.50. I'm wondering if the $1 street vendors will go up, too?

A single paper is still $2 here so I don't know. I wish I could find a street vendor or dollar store that sold them.

I've found $1 street vendors near major freeway exits during warmer months. If they remain $1, I will be prowling the streets on Sundays to get my paper fix!!

I guess you live closer to downtown? I'm in the suburbs and don't ever see anyone selling them but I remember when I lived in Midtown Atlanta, I used to see guys selling them on the street. I'd love to pay $1 a paper....or better yet, how do I get their job?

Today the street vendor started charging $2 a paper instead of $1. It is the same price as at the store. She said AJC put the price up, not them. I'm going to see what they charge for the double paper tomorrow in the store. This is going to cause problems for the street vendors.

My regular vendor said that the price increase is for 2 weeks then back to $1. Hope she's right.

Is anyone having trouble finding the double papers on Saturday now? I've noticed since the increase they don't have them out on Saturday anymore. I can get a single for $2 early edition but I liked getting the double on Saturday and not having to go back out on Sunday.
