Pittsburgh Area SmartSource?

A little OT from Giant Eagle - but I buy my papers there, and a lot of you are in the area, so I figured I have a more targeted audience, lol!

So two weeks ago, there was no SS in the Post-Gazette, and it was mailed the following Thursday. This past weekend, it was in the PG, but I received another one in the mail today.

Are we about to lose them in the paper? Are they transitioning us over to mailing only? :sad:

I've never gotten a SS in the mail, just Red Plum and P&G.

I usually get 2-one in the sunday paper and in the mail on thurs. As well-it's been this way for me for some time now----sweet!

I hope they don't switch to mail only - the PPG would go out of business IMO. Ours comes in the Trib and Post-Gazette. Wait, we also get a slimmer SS in the Almanac (it's a free paper that comes on Wednesday or Thursday)

For about a month in the Cleveland area we are getting the SS insert in our local community newspaper - the same on eRP used to be in...I'm thinking SS saw all the complaints about RP not being in the paper anymore and then they jumped in!

We get an SS in the local community paper - the one that arrives on Thursdays and has the ads that used to be in the Pennysaver. It's a Trib Total Media product, so a different product family than the PPG. It's been for about the last 2 months.

I received the 1/31 SS in the mail (with the Pennysaver) today. I also received one last week.

i get RP every tuesday with the pennysaver...
and i buy the SS on sunday...

I'm in an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh. I get the RP (and P&G) on Tuesdays, with the GE and SNS ads. Not sure why the SS started showing up on Thursdays with the Pennysaver.
