NO SmartSource!!

I bought 10 St Pete Times on the street corner in Tampa today, and had one delivered to my house and NONE of them has the SmartSource coupon inserts!!
I even stopped at Publix to check their St Pete Times and they had NONE!
Did anyone else have this problem? I am going to contact ST Pete Times tomorrow.

lori, i got the st pete times (seminole in Pinellas) today at two spots and there were no RED PLUMS, the tb trib had both though

In Hillsborough County the St. Pete Times has been missing the Smartsource insert for the last 3 weeks ! Tribune had both but the Trib is $1 and the Times is only .50 :hectic1::hectic1:

I'm calling them tomorrow too.

I'm not happy w/ St Pete either, 2 weeks ago I started with missing inserts; last week I had both inserts, however I heard other people who bought St pete didn't have all inserts, this week I wen to 4 stores and none had the SS in St Pete; a friend of mine called the St pete times(last week) and was told a story that the insert companies sometimes tell the paper not to insert a RP or a SS and they won't for that week, I think it's a lie because I had the inserts in my St pete that week when she called ... I always buy St pete cause they are .$50 but I guess if they no longer want my $5 a week, I have to buy the tribune, will cost me more :-( but at least I get all the inserts ... I'm NOT happy with St Pete, wonder why they do that, I never had an insert problem in the 2+ years I have been doing this, and this is driving me crazy..... I think we all should call and complaint and maybe they'll see we mean business.....

STRANGE! I have never had a problem w/ St Pete Times and I always buy 10 on a street corner on the way to church.
When I realized that even my home delivery STP did not ahve the SmartSource, that REALLY made me MAD!
Does anyone know what phone number we are supposed to call?
I guess we all may have to start buying Tampa Trib (it is $1 here on Sunday

I just called St. Pete Times and found out that SmartSource will not be in the newspapers in Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco counties anymore. The girl I talked to did not have any more information. (I think the same thing goes for Tampa Tribune.)

Just chiming in with my experience. If it has been missing for the past three weeks, they may not have renewed their contract with them. Last year - I noticed the same about my small town Georgia paper and found out they would no longer be carrying. They still carried the red plum. Crazy enough, the other day I saw a Smart Source in my paper so maybe they renewed after complaints.:shrug7:
