I am in Port Richey/Hudson/Bayonet Point area. The other side of the county is NOT 50 cents-it's 1.00 for both of the papers over in East Pasco. The Trib is 50 cents here, and it usually has all the inserts. Occasionally in a bundle of inserts, I'll have one or two missing (out of the 10 sets-not very often, but it does happen), but sometimes there's an extra one crammed in, too... it balances out. Especially considering that the paper is only 50 cents (and I spend less). Gotta love the hookups. :)

Oddly enough- here we have two papers available, the Tennessean is the larger one and our local city paper, th Chronicle. I normally buy the Tenenssean since it is larger and has a better selection, (but it's $1.75 as opposed to the $1.50 for the city paper). Anyway, I ALWAYS check my papers before I buy them to make certain the inserts are there and this week our city paper had both RP and SS, but the larger TN paper only had RP. ?? Weird!

That is weired, cause week 1 RP was missing in mine, my friend was missing SS in her's, then week 2 I got both SS and RP my friend did not get SS and even some local paper like the ledger had some SS missing, week three yesterday no SS only RP for everyone that bought the St pete times.. I just don't think that they know the answer becasue some people are getting the SS and some won't; now Tampa tribune hat SS & RP but why should I pay $1 if I can get St pete for $50, at least till now... I want St pete back and want them to carry all their stuff... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FYI: In Jacksonville we get the FTU and I know they guarentee your paper will be complete only if delivered. I have called to complain before about one's I purchased at the gas station and was told delivered papers get priority for ALL inserts. I don't know if this is true for different publications though...

So weird! I get the home delivered version of the Tampa Tribune-it had both inserts; however, I bought 3 St. Pete Times at Wags and they were all missing the RP! I was so upset!

This is SO WEIRD! If we could pinpoint one area / county to / not to buy the SPT we could figure it out, but there is NO rhyme or reason to any of it...I am still waiting for a reply from SPT..I have been told in the past they only guarantee their home delivered papers, but even my home delivered SPT did not have SS!!

I guess for now, we have to look through EACH and EVERY paper to see if it is complete before purchasing!:hectic1: This is hard to do on a street corner (even though there is a median that we pull off in) I just like the ease of the street corner (they load it in the backset for us!) and it always makes their day when we pull up and buy TEN papers!! Plus, NO TAX!

Like I said, I have not had any problems (other than maybe a missing insert here or there)

If anything, we may just have to buy the Trib for $1.00 :sad: until this is worked out.

It's hard to know which side is responsible. I would be surprised if SmartSource just decided to stop providing inserts unless the St. Pete Times told them to or didn't renew a contract, as has been mentioned. I have tried contacting the marketing div. responsible for putting SS in newspapers and have not received a response. I did contact the St. Pete Times and would urge everyone else who has not done so to contact them as well.

I had read on other forums that people weren't receiving SS in their Tampa Tribune's either. I don't want to switch my subscription to the Trib thinking I'm going to get SS only to find out that I can't get it in that paper either. In the meantime, I will continue with my Times subscription and have signed up for a two week FREE trial of the Trib. to see if I do get the SS inserts. So HOW are we supposed to know if we are one of the "included areas" each week? This makes a HUGE difference when I buy 10 extra papers each week. I am buying the papers only for the coupons!
Also, I have NEVER had a problem with my home delivery paper as well.
I am afraid you will be losing alot of sales of newspapers if they wont be including all the coupons.
