Newspaper Inserts - How do people get so many?

I've always wondered this. Especially the coupon clipping services, because some of them have thousands. Don't how you could possibly get that many.

not sure about the clipping service...but I can tell you where I get mine....

McDonalds on a Sunday morning, at just about lunch time is a fantastic place for LOADS of free coupon inserts. People have bought the paper, don't care about the q's, and stuff them in those newspaper shelf thingys...

Maybe they work at a newspaper or know someone who works at a newspaper. My sister worked at a newspaper for a short while - we would sit behind the building when we knew the guys were finishing their routes and had papers for the recycle bin. We would ask and they would let us go through the extras they brought back and pull out the inserts.

I buy mine like everyone else. I know that most coupon clipping services do the same. One person has an order for over 2000 newspapers per week.

I get my extras from my neighbors...there is a packet that gets thrown in our yards and it has the coupons in it...most people just throw it out so I ask if I can have them....also i have a coupon fairy that is very generous to give me extras...Thanks C.

still wondering where clipping services get all the inserts?? ANYONE KNOW??

I go to a local public recycling center. They know I coupon, and are very friendly. People who bring things in sort as they go, so the papers and inserts are all in one place, and it's easy to go through. I'll bring in some of my recyclables to "trade," and come home with a ton of inserts for free.

I don't usually get 50 inserts but it is easy for me to get minimum of 10 but usually more like 30 smartsource inserts. My area has a paper called Express news and inside of that free express news are smartsource inserts! You can take a pile whenever you see them they are free sitting with the free for rent and employment newspapers and other stuff that is free as you walk out of a store. I see them frequently at gas stations and grocery stores around here but have also seen them at least twice at a Walgreens store, sometimes at Salvation Army or Goodwill stores even.
One area post office even has them!

I trade a lot recently on WUC and have recently gotten extras of coupons I really need off there. Someone even sent me a RAOK but usually people will trade coupons for coupons or coupons for stamps.

OMG how can someone say no to a coupon that makes something FREE?!? People are just nuts!

I would have taken all you had and been thanking you and maybe trying to hug you and telling you to come to my house to help yourself to some of my stockpile stash!! I gift and sell and donate anything I get free that I can't use myself. People are nuts! In this economy if you can't use something free yourself HEY be nice and help the others who are worse off than you!
