SMILE It really pays to contact companies!

I try to contact at least 5 companies per day with either a compliment or a complaint (only if I really didnt like their product). I always get some great coupons and today I had a pretty good day!

I emailed Nylabone to let them know that I really liked their dog toys for my cocker spaniel. They sent me a package Fedex today with two dog toys that were probably at least $10 a piece at the store, a bag of dog treats, and a hardback Cocker Spaniel book ($19.95 retail price) with a training DVD! I was so surprised!
Also, a couple months ago, I had a bad experience at a restaurant and I emailed them about it. The manager sent me a $35 gift certificate in the mail to come back again!

Anyway, just wanted to share this!

Thanks, I know I have had a lot of success in the past contacting companies. This was a good reminder to start that again.

When you contact them do you always just give them your house address and email address? or is it something that they ask for when you are sending them a email.

Usually they have a form you fill out with that info,...but if I have to email them, I just type my name and then my addy under that.

Nylabone sounds like a great company! I also contact companies from time to time, and always get a response, even if it's just a letter. Usually it's a coupon for a free product. And I agree... it's worth mentioning, a complaint should be valid, not just for a freebie! I'd say 99% of the time, I contact a company with a rave, not a complaint and they always take the time to write back. Caveat..I use snail mail the great majority of the time. I think they value those letters more than email, but that's just my opinion.

I once left negative feedback at The Land of Nod. We purchased what I thought was a high end play table for my children. The table was made of soft wood and dented easily. It looked aweful after a few weeks. About a year after I left the feedback (I stated my likes and dislikes about the product), I got an email from the company. They had improved there table and wanted to send us a new one, and we could keep the old one.

    Thanks for posting this.

I emailed Nylabone *my dogs love their products* and Nylabone emailed me back saying thanks for our compliments and Laney and Slade would be receiving something in the mail. My dogs are REALLY gonna love Nylabone when they get a package from them.
