I agree it pays to contact companies. Last year I bought some Fruit of the Loom thermals for our first time living where it snows. LOL I had one thermal shirt that got a hole in it on the very first day without any real reason to. I e-mailed them, and they said they'd send me a replacement. Later, I got a package with 4 thermal pants! I e-mailed them back thanking them for the pants, but noted that it was the shirt they were sending a replacement for. They then mailed me 4 free thermal shirts to go with those pants. It was much needed and much appreciated!

I e-mailed Nylabone too, and they just sent me an e-mail saying they'd send me an e-mail for future purchases. No free dog toys or such. :(

I contact a bunch of companies every few weeks. I've gotten sooo much free stuff this way. I put a bit into my messages, instead of just asking for coupons/mailing lists. I've also always had excellent results when I've had product issues. (Please be honest when contacting someone!)

I had a funny one today though. This go, I decided to email KY about how sooo not impressed we were with the yours+mine. They emailed back asking me to call. I told dh there was no way I was calling to talk about this, but he dared me to do it anyways. I finally did today and got this little old lady/grandma sounding woman this morning! I wasn't graphic by any means but felt sooo funny talking to her about it! In the end, they're going to reimburse me for my disappointment! Yippee!

That makes me wonder, and is why I decided to take some of my post out. (specific company & what I emailed about) You have to figure LOTS of people read this forum and never post, or even sign up! I bet they got overwhelmed once word was out that they send freebies. It's too bad, but still awesome that they went above and beyond for some, right?

I know I should have read the thread and multi-quoted some stuff, but this is how I'm going tonight!

That is too funny!! You sure made out well though, right?? Dh used to collect some line of weird brand cookware that a local grocery store was selling week by week. It was horrible, and I told him so much, but he kept buying it anyways. Sure enough, after a few uses, the handles were all falling apart. He couldn't stand that I was right, so he emailed the company. A week later, UPS shows up with a HUGE box. They sent us another set of everything he got, plus some! It was insane!! Of course, it all soon fell apart, too, but at least they have great customer service for their terrible product!
