Default Printable Coupons ~ color vs. black & white

I know that it's acceptable to print coupons in black and white, but our default setting for our printer is on grayscale. (faster printing with less ink - everything comes out "less black")

Will my printables still scan this way? (Please say "yes" because I just printed two of the $2 Kashi coupons for the bars that my kids devour like nobody's business )

Do any of you print on grayscale with no problems at the store?

    TIA!

YES! I set mine to gray scale to conserve ink too. Never had any problems.

I print mine on grayscale too... No problem so far.

I even printed my coupons when my printer was totally out of ink and the bar code was so light that I was a little embarrassed to use them. To my surprise, the cashiers at Walmart and Harris Teeter were more than glad to take them and they scanned perfectly. Interesting huh?

    Cheers..

maybe they are less likely to think they are copied if they look like they have been printed from a computer that is almost out of ink. I got hassled so much for having good quality prints from computers at work. "these must be copies, they are too good!"
GOod to know that they will work in grayscale, need to save ink, thanks!

No. How could a store MAKE you have a color printer?

    Black & white is fine.

I use black and white all the time. Some even say "can be in color or black and white".

Each IP has a different serial number in case anyone ever gives you a hard time. I do wish I knew that one as a newbie!

I only print in B&W unless I forget to change the printer settings. Haven't had any problems using them around here.
