Printing IPs through Mypoints?

When you use coupons you print through mypoints, how does mypoints know to give you your 5 or 25 points? If they wait until the store sends them in, how do they know what month they were redeemed in for the bonus points?

Huh, that's a good questions, never though about that. And they do give thme for using don't they? because it was some for using some for redeeming..

Maybe there is something in the code that the stores scan?

I asked mypoints customer service this question several months back, and here is what they told me.

"Please note that Points earned from Coupons.com are credited to your account as soon as we receive confirmation of each transaction. Coupons are uniquely tracked from printing through in-store redemption. This means that Points for redeeming each printed coupon at an in-store location may take up to 90 days to post on your account.

If you have waited through the specified time period and still have not received your Points, please reply to this email providing the name of coupon(s) you printed and redeemed, as well as the date(s) you redeemed them."

I started an excel spreadsheet of what coupons I printed from mypoint, along with which store I redeemed them at, as well as the date I redeemed them. I did notice this week I was created 20 pts for a few coupons I previously used.

The ones I have used so far were credited very quickly. I think if you look in you account balance area they list out where your recent points came from and also pending points and such.

Right on the main page... scroll down to "In The Spotlight" and it says "Coupons (Printable)"
