Default We're not getting Red Plum inserts anymore!!??

Maybe we should start a new thread?

I emailed them right away and said I was unhappy that they will no longer be included with the Pgh Post Gazette, and that a group of shoppers may threaten to boycott the products advertized in the RedPlum. They will not be upset that people will discontinue the PG, only if their sponsor hear people will not use their coupons unless they are in the newspaper.
(A marketing friend advised me to word it that way.)
People should flood their emails letting them know they want them in their Sunday paper!

Yup, totally agree. I emailed them right away too, and let them know that I depend on coupons to feed my family, and I don't feel it's right that we don't have them available in the Sunday newspaper anymore.

I wouldn't think twice about emailing any companies that use RP and voicing my concern as well.

Maybe that is why the RP has been so light lately. I'm sure some of the bigger companies know that the distribution total isn't as high with RP as it is with SS. Wonder if RP is slowly phasing out their newspaper coupons totally. I see they have a bunch of printables on the redplum.com website. But that doesnt help those shoppers whose stores dont accept ips...or for those of us who shop at Rite Aid (whose corporate policy states no ips - time for them to get into the 21st century! lol)

That is a great idea to email the co's that use Redplum!
Remember when Giant Eagle quit doubling coupons in Pgh? Did that last about 3 weeks? They saw a good number of their pgh customers run to other stores, and they went back to doubling! Maybe Redplum will get it right away if deluged by emails, and continue the post gazette too!
My target, and Kuhn's don't accept printables. I don't use them at all anywhere! I want them out of the paper!!!

I am thinking that Red Plum is getting a better deal with mailers (every household gets one) you know that they don't care if you use the coupon as long as your brain was exposed to the ad. This is in comparrison to a fraction of people buying the paper.

DH said that at the Post Office they have a spot for left over ads.

Might have to get to know that spot

I emailed them too. Don't know if it will do any good but doesn't hurt to try.

One other thing, someone mentioned in the other thread that they did receive the Red Plum in this past Sunday's paper. They wondered if people were referring to last week or this coming Sunday's paper. I was assume we were talking about this Sunday, Feb. 1.

I went to one store and searched through several copies of the Post Gazette and found no Red Plum. I found it strange. I went to a 7 Eleven and bought the paper and it had the Red Plum in it. I'm not sure why this would be. I'm going to check the 7 Eleven on Sunday. One might have been an earlier version of the paper, I'm not sure.

I was getting my redplum on Tuesdays with the new grocery store ads. Didn't get one today. Anyone else not get theirs in the Greensburg PA area? Wonder if they are going to start putting it in the paper again?

Does anyone know if the Tribune Sunday paper would have Redplum Q's? I always get the early edition of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on Saturdays so I can get an early start for Sundays.
