Coupon Question little weird

So I frequently go dumpster diving for my extra coupons I found a stash today it was like someone just dumped all the sunday papers intact coupons and all.

Although a few of them someone instead of taking the time to cut out the coupons drew an X or a circle over all the bar codes with an ink pen so will these coupons still scan or not. Or you think I will get questions on them? I could just say my 4 year old was playing with the ink pen....

I only need to really use a few of them for some kmart deals I have multiples of most of the others.

I just find that pretty annoying that someone really took the time to mark on all their coupons before recycling them if you weren't going to use them why damage them? :shrug7:

that sucks! I dont know if you can use them or not, but that was VERY rude of the people to do.

wouldn't they be able to just type in the coupon barcode numbers? Gotta love people who do strange things like that to coupons they aren't going to use. They must have a heck of a lot of time on their hands... =)

I'm an assistant manager at a convenience store...and even though we can just push coupons through manually, the manufacturer won't take them back with any damages. Even if we send them an envelope that has a random piece of paper that got misplaced into it, they have the right to reject it then. So...I would guess that you would be unable to use them. I hate to be the bearer of bad news :sad: but I don't want you to go through the hassle of getting to the store, picking out your deals only to be turned away...

And whoever sat there and did that must be an incredibly bitter person. What harm is it to them if you use their unused coupons?
