BREAKING NEWS Spend your stimulus check...

April 25, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chairman Bob and Roundy's Help Customers Extend Their Economic Stimulus Checks
Program Also Offers Free Roundy's Products Found Exclusively at Pick 'n Save, Copps and Rainbow

Milwaukee, April 25, 2008 - Chairman Bob and Roundy's Supermarkets announced today a program that will help shoppers stretch their budgets with their economic stimulus checks. With checks expected to arrive at homes soon, customers can bring them to any Pick 'n Save, Copps or Rainbow store and redeem them for store gift cards that will give them extra value and free Roundy's products.

The program is very simple. All customers have to do is bring their government-issued economic stimulus check to any of our stores and use it to purchase store gift cards. For example, if your stimulus check is $300, we will give you a gift card valued at $330. Customers must show a photo ID. Customers will be able to purchase less than the total amount of their check in $300 increments.

"These are tough times and we realize that our customers are looking for ways to stretch their dollars," said Robert Mariano, Roundy's Chairman and CEO. "This program is aimed to do that and I am personally throwing in a Chairman Bob Bonus that will help stretch their grocery budgets even more."

Customers who redeem their economic stimulus checks at participating Pick 'n Save, Copps and Rainbow stores will receive coupons entitling them to the following Chairman Bob Bonus:

Free Roundy's reusable grocery bag
Free Roundy's 16 oz. loaf of white or wheat bread
Free Roundy's half-gallon of regular or organic milk
Free Roundy's dozen large eggs
Roundy's products already are priced 15-20 percent lower than equivalent national brand items, making them a great value for your everyday shopping needs. Customers can begin redeeming their economic stimulus checks at any Pick 'n Save, Copps or Rainbow as soon as they get them. Checks can be redeemed until Labor Day (September 1, 2008).

Thanks for posting!

I'm having a moment here, and not completely understanding this statement.
Does this mean if I take in my check and lets say it's $1200, and I would like to $600 dollars worth, they will give me two $330 dollar gift cards and $600 in cash?
