Contest Monopoly Collect & Win Game Rare/Semi-Rare Pieces - 6/16-8/31/11

**Updated 8/25 2 PM CST ** **Thanks** We still need YOUR data on rare pieces in prize groups A-G!! **

This thread is a data clearinghouse and tracker to identify those exact pieces that are rare and semi-rare for the Monopoly Collect & Win Promotion. I noticed in the fine print of the rules, that they are being tricky by not only printing the limited number of the key pieces needed to win from a prize group but also printing a limited number of semi-rare pieces from many prize groups. From the rules: "* Odds of winning are based on the likelihood of obtaining the one rare game marker needed to win, plus there will be a semi-rare game marker that is printed with odds of 1 in 5,000 game tickets."

This makes it nearly impossible to identify whether or not you actually have the winning key rare piece or just its semi-rare sister (also needed) for certain prize groups without a sufficient data set. For example, the dream house (Group A) contains a single key piece that will only be printed 1 in 60 million (total number of pieces / markers). But, there is another piece in that group which is only being printed 1 out of 5,000 pieces. Is it A102 or is it A106? We don't know yet, but we know it is one of those. One of those is the key. One of those is the semi-rare sister. It's a tricky ploy to avoid actually awarding the prizes, but with enough data and crowdsourcing, we can publish the actual key pieces.

This is where I need your help. I need confirmed possession of these rare / semi-rare pieces to provide data which will confirm which one it is. For example, if we get confirmation that 2 people hold A102, then we know that A106 is the actual key piece, and let the golden ticket hunt begin.

I am looking for data on these pieces:
    A102
    A106
    B107
    B110
    C112
    C116

    E123
    E124
    F129

    Great idea for a thread!

I can confirm that I have these:

    L156
    X200
    Y203

Now no one get any ideas and try breaking in my house to get these (oh wait two of them are just for the $5 & $2 prizes!)
I will only be online every few days, so I may be a bit slow to respond.

I updated OP with data from PurrMinn, ericpc, and kristinnm. Thanks! It helped me narrow down the rare pieces in a few of the latter prize groups. I still need more data to determine rare pieces in prize groups A-G. Please post in thread. There is no other way for us to determine which pieces are needed for the big prize winners without more data.

I think the pattern I see so far is that they are using the semi-rare ploy in the top-tier prize groups A-G but not bothering with it in the remaining prize groups, making it much easier to identify the rare piece. This makes sense as the person writing the checks for the prizes should be much more willing to part with a bunch of $100 grocery cards than a quarter mil home.

Yesterday, I had indicated a single count on prize marker L155. This must have been a mistake. I looked back through all of my sources of data, and I do not see L155 listed in any of them. Sorry for any false hope.

I updated OP with new data from LuckyDog and Drummergirl. Thanks! The big news here is the tallying of markers B110, E123, F129, G132. We don't know yet if these are the key pieces or the semi-rare yet because of lack of data, but in my opinion they already (potentially) have great value even if they are only one of the semi-rare (1/5,000) markers of the prize group.

Let's say hypothetically we confirm B110 is the semi-rare after tallying 3 or more. If someone were to get B107, the key piece then by process of elimination (only 2 printed), I think that person would be willing to fairly compensate someone for their B110 needed to claim the $50K for themselves. I don't know what that would be, but there has to be a decent fee to avoid the inconvenience and cost of buying $1,000s in groceries (bonus items) to try to get the semi-rare piece still with no guarantee.

Keep the data coming, people. We are getting closer!

Well, Today I am the big winner of $2.00 cash. Odd thing was I was waiting to get Piece Y201. I opened a game piece and it had Y201,Y202, Y203,Y204 all on the same piece. I wonder if more winners will have all four on the same piece. My first batch of game pieces 65 had several instant winner ( Pizza, Fresh Veg, and 8 monopoly game pieces (16 tickets total). Two weeks later , 71 game pieces and only two instant winners for game pieces. Just FYI
