    X Roll Call 2010

    Welcome to the Copps/PickNSave/Rainbow forum!

I thought it would be nice to learn about who else shops at Copps, Pick 'n Save, and/or Rainbow and who stops by the forum these days.

So feel free to say a little (or a lot) about yourself, where you shop, and anything else you'd like to share.

    I guess I'll go first:

I shop at both of the Pick 'n Saves in Oshkosh, so I'm in the NE region (we get the ad earlier than those in the southern region). I've been shopping at these stores for a few years now and have been couponing the whole time and I love it!

I mainly shop at Pick 'n Save because of the Double Daze on Wednesdays, but occassionally I shop at Festival Foods and Piggly Wiggly if they have a deal I just can't pass up. I have become even more fond of Pick 'n Save recently because of their Double Double Daze promotions where they'll sometimes double 10 coupons - what a deal!

    Hi.

I really only shop at PnS at East Pointe in Milwaukee, due to the proximity to where I live. I could walk or take bus depending on the weather, or how lazy I feel. One thing about this particular PnS is that it's not terribly big - the plus is that shopping trip can be pretty fast b/c it doesn't take that long even if I were to walk down every single aisle in the store; on the contrary, the downside is that they don't always have "everything".

And there is Metro Market right by there too, I mean literally one block away. I have gone there on some occasions but rarely. It's basically PnS all over again, plus (a lot of) prepared foods. Their sales are pretty much same as PnS (but not exact), so nothing super exciting there. I have yet gone there on Wednesdays so I do not know if they do the same double coupons as other Roundy's chains (anyone know?).

    Anyways, hi! I'm MJ.

    Hi
I live in a Waukesha County suburb and frequent many PNS's in the Milwaukee/Waukesha County area d/t working in Milwaukee. I'm finding many different coupon tearpads amongst the PNS's I frequent. I also love the Doubles Wednesday's as well, especially Double/Doubles. If anyone lives/works/drives by the new Metro Market on Bluemound and Calhoun in Brookfield I strongly recommend a visit. They have the same deals as the regular PNS's and same coupon policy (doubles on Wednesday's,etc,)as well. They have great deals that the other PNS's don't have. Examples: Buy Patrick Cudahy Ham at $3.99/lb, get loaf of Earth Grains Bread Free. Philadelphia Cream Cheese 8oz: $.78:Limit 2 with card. A gallon of Roundy's milk is $1.88 through 4/4. I hit the mother load GM cereal deal earlier in the week when many of the GM cereals were $1.88/box. Bought 6, got $10.00 back and a cat for free milk! This was a store specific promotion. Also, the ad for 3/28-4/4 has many opportunities for free eggs:
Buy 2 Hellman's Mayos or 2 Nestles Choc Chips or 2 Earth Grains Breads or 2 Mr. Dee's Hash Brown Patties or 2 Sara Lee English Muffins, get 1 dozen eggs free. You can do all 5 deals and get 5 dozen eggs free. I don't know if this will be in the PNS ad 3/28-4/4 or not. This is Grand Opening Week and they've been giving out free samples of food all week. It's a lovely store...

I'm in the Appleton area in NE WI (NEW as we call it around here). So it's Copps and PNS. Mostly PNS for me. The one in Kimberly. Pretty much only Weds. for Double Daze unless I have lots of awesome coupons like the Super Savings ones. :) I've only been doing Double Daze pretty hard core for about a year. I used to just coupon here and there, but since becoming a SAHM I have been determined to cut my grocery bill in half. And I did. I don't usually spend more than $50 a week. Now this includes beauty, household, groceries, baby care and the like. And of course when it's stock up on meat or diaper week I prob go over. I don't have a set budget, but just try to get the best bang for my buck. I do have a small stockpile. I live within walking distance to a Piggly Wiggly, Family Dollar and Harware Hank so I do check those out too. I also go to Save A Lot too. PNS is my main shopping store, though. Maybe once a month or even less I go to Festival Foods like PurrMinn. Just for loss leaders. I heart HCW and plan on never leaving!

Maybe I will have hubby take me over there on Monday when he is home :) Thanks for the review, can't wait to see the store!

Hi! I'm also in the NE and shop Copps in Appleton. Even though there is a PNS closer to where I live, I really like the Copps I go to and I know right where everything is, they're very coupon-friendly, and usually everything is stocked pretty well, so I just keep going back there. I've been shopping Copps only since they started doing Double Daze 2 summers ago, before that I was a die-hard Walmart shopper, we did all of our shopping there and I did use coupons, but never to the extent I do now. I got more seriously into couponing about 3 years ago when I started staying home with my kids, and now have a hard time buying something without a coupon!

As for other stores, we do a Walmart run about once a month for stuff we need or are out of, or stuff that Copps never puts on sale. I will occasionally shop Piggly Wiggly if they have a good promotion going on, and I used to do Festival occasionally but they are so far away that unless I'm going right past there I don't make a special trip.

I have to say I do LOVE Copps doubles. Each week I plan out my transactions, usually do 2 or 3, and use an excel spreadsheet to calculate each transaction. I only ever buy what is on my list, unless something is out of stock and I need to substitute, and our grocery bill has gone way since I started shopping here. I usually figure out what items I'm going to double, then fill in each transaction with weekly necessities - milk , bread, eggs, fruit. I also do a meal plan each week in advance, so I also fill in with any miscellaneous item I might need for dinners. If I really need a filler I'll let DH look through the ad and see if there's something he wants!!

Where to start? Um, my name is Gina, but most people on here just call me bunny. I still have not figured out why though. :shrug7: I Pick 'N Save! Although I am learning that if something is not on sale, it is way overpriced! I shop most of the Racine locations, but only on Wednesdays. I have been serious about couponing for about 6 months. I consider my start date the day I found HCW. I am a very young couponer. But despite my age, I try to get the best deals! I have a pet bunny named Lilly. Too bad they don't make coupons for bunny products! I have trouble though makeing out scenarios for Pick 'N Save, so I always appreciate when there is a thread where people share what they are getting and how with me!

    Have a great day!
I'm a Cheesehead any whey you cut it!
