    QUESTION Doubles not really doubling?

I'm new to this coupon game and I tried my first Doubles day at our local PicknSave
The policy is Double up to 5 coupons, up to $1 each.

I had two coupons for $1 off yogurt, but when I looked at my receipt, the multiplier only said .26 for each of them. I was going to ask about it, but it was crazy busy and I figured I'd find out here if this is normal or what?
:shrug7: Did I misunderstand the policy?

Hey I don't go to Picknsave, but how much was the yogurt? At stores I go to if they double and I get something that is $.75 with a $.50 coupon I will get and extra $.25 because it wont exceed the cost of the item.

The yogurt was .40 apiece and the coupon was for $1 off 10

So it didn't exceed the price - the coupon would have made each cup .30, and doubling it would have brought it to .20 per yogurt.

I ended up paying .27 per yogurt (not bad, but still...)

That stinks! Maybe if you call and ask them they can refund it back. (My DH makes fun of me for the lengths I will go for $.75 lol. But my what $.75 can buy with coupons!) I guess the only thing I can think of is maybe the way it was coded it only attatched to a few of them and not literally 10 even though that is how many it was off per the wording. Like there are only so many ways to code a coupon and they have to pick the one that is closest to what they want it to be if that makes sense. I mean maybe even though you have to buy 10 there is only coding for when you buy 5 and the register *thinks* it is attatching to less than it should according to the wording so it doubled to prevent the overage it *thought* you would be getting. Does that make sense? Again, I don't know for sure but it's what I assume. ***I am NOT saying that people should use coupons fraudulently- Just wanted to clear that up before someone tears into me***

I think you need to always check any Roundy store reciepts very carefully because they do strange things all the time (some time in favor of the store and sometimes in favor of the customer). I often have stuff ring up for more than the shelf label.

Sometimes you will get overage on coupons that double and other time not.

Anyway I just always go to the customer service and complain and they are helpful
Always on the lookout for Organic Valley milk coupons.
