    QUESTION An Ethical Question

Okay, folks, first a bit of a brag...I was able to get 6 boxes of MiniWheats, 2 bags of Sunchips, and 2 Wholly Salsas for $6.48 tonight! Woot! (Btw, I'm in Oshkosh, so my flier is a week ahead of southern WI).
    But here's my dilemma:

For the Wholly salsas I used (2) $1/1q's which were doubled, and then I used (2) Free chips wyb 2 Wholly Salsa products q's (up to $3), but when the cashier scanned the chips q, the computer beeped and actually said the reason was "Too Many Coupons." I have never seen that error before, and I've piggy-backed many a coupon at PnS. Usually it's just been some vague "Item Not There" or something to that affect. Well, the cashier agreed that I had 2 separate coupons for 2 separate items, so she entered them manually.

Soooooo, did I do something wrong? Is it actually illegal to combine BOGO q's and $$ q's? Or have the manufacturers just gotten wise to our methods and programmed the coupons differently now? I don't want to do it in the future if it's not supposed to be done. Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

You did nothing wrong. The problem exists in coding the coupons. Since the wholly salsa company wants you to be able to buy any brand of chips they can't code the coupon for the chips so they coded it for the salsa. That means the cash register thinks it is a coupon for salsa when in fact it is a coupon for chips.
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!

Awesome job! I have had a few problems with piggybacking coupons at PnS so I don't even try. Having a cashier treating you like you are stealing is not my idea of fun.
