HOT Does your store do this? No tearpads, blinkies, etc. are put out except those expiring soon

My store NEVER has blinkies or tearpad qs. Very rarely, I come across a blinkie for something really obscure. Well, on Sunday, (March 29) I noticed a huge tearpad in the cracker aisle. It had about six $1 qs per sheet. For a moment, I got all excited, only to realize that the qs expire at the end of the month. :hectic1:. I know that they had just recently hung that tearpad, because I would have noticed it on earlier trips - and there were hardly any sheets torn off. I'm convinced that PNS hung it when they did to prevent doubling. (Am I sounding paranoid? )

I just get frustrated when I see posts about all the great qs found at other chain stores. What's up with PNS - why don't they ever put that stuff out?

*sigh* vent over - onto the rest of my day.

The PNS I use to go to (which is closer) never has any kind of coupons tearpads, blinkies, flyers, never anything. I switched to a different PNS where there are alot of coupons but is about five minutes further, but I do like the store better. There is better produce, better stock and all around better people and checkers and baggers. But the other day I ran to the closer one for just a few items and there were a bunch of tearpads and blinkies but like you said they all expire at the end of this month. The tear pads looked brand new. Looks to me like they just put them out as well.
So to answer your question....lol Yeah it ticks me off too!!

I have a Copp's but I have seen the same thing. Or else I've seen them empty on Wednesday and full on Thursday. Since you're ranting, has anyone ever asked their store to carry something? My Copp's used to carry a good deal of dairy free products (for myself), suddenly it went down to nothing, a few soy ice creams (I don't do soy anymore, switched to rice dream), and always 1 kind of rice ice cream. Something with carob and nuts, it's nasty. I've repeatedly asked and filled out paper work to get more products. I have also copied off pictures and more forms. And nothing!!!

as a former blinkie lady and merchandiser, I am guessing that Pick is not the one putting out the tearpads. We would frequently hang coupons when we went in to do the machines. Also, the vendors(Kraft, Pepsi, etc) are probably the ones that are supposed to put up the tearpads, not Pick.
One thing I can tell you about certain Picks- people or employees knock down the blinkie machines. It was so flippin irritating to go in to refill or change things and have a ton of missing machines. Other stores like Jewel and Sentry did not have that problem. One of the many reasons I quit doing it.

I personally have noticed, at one Pick that they have pulled tear pads down and stuck them up by the customer service area.

I'm actually surprised by my PNS...there are always lots of good Qs, tearpads and blinkies. There were even four Gnarly Head winetags last week, which I hear are virtually impossible to find. It's a newer PNS, so maybe people haven't "discovered" it yet?! I don't know, but I'm very happy with what I find in the store. Hope the other stores can improve for you!
