Rainbow Foods ~ No longer accepting expireds!

The Midway store told me this last week, and I thought "well, Larpenter took them last week. No biggie."

But yesterday at Larpenter:

"We can't accept expired coupons..."

What???? Seriously, I have a bunch of the $1/1 steamers q's ($10/10 this week ), and when they wouldn't take the q's I told them to take almost everything off the purchase.

wow- I have never heard of a rainbow(or pick down here) taking expireds

I've never heard of Rainbow taking expireds either, although I wouldn't be surprised if the new Rainbow on Laurpentueruruere took them...most new stores bend lots of rules to get customers coming back.

same here. the only store i know that takes expired is CUB.

West St paul rainbow never took expired either and they are blocks away from CUB.

I had the same experience this wednesday, Some cashiers take expireds, but some dont. Try your luck with a different cashier.

I think I'll try the expired Steamers on the self-checkout.

And I saw some of the loathsome Pepsi 20-packs at a gas station this week, so I'm hoping for some good prices on the 24-packs (if they're switching over). I won't pay $5.99 for a 20 pack, so I may just have to quit my Mt Dew habit altogether.

I used a gazillion q's on the self-checker not 2 weeks ago, and the expireds scanned without so much as a beep.

I dunno. $1 doubles, once a week, with a limit of FIVE q's doubled, isn't enough to lure me away from Cub.

I'd still check with CS at your store. They might scan, but it is unlikely that Rainbow will be reimbursed for them. Most stores have a short time period for sending in their coupons. I was talking with the manager at CVS one day and he told me that he had to bundle them by day they came in and send them in every week. Not sure how Cub works it out to be able to take expireds.
