I see they are doing 10 double coupons on Wed 1/27/10. Now it says $25.00 after store coupons, not manufacturer coupons. Is there a difference? I'm new to couponing and want to make sure I make the best of this deal :)
Below you will find the reply I received from Rainbow Foods regarding their coupon acceptance policies. There were a few questions "out there" in this forum. It addresses the fact that your order must total $25 AFTER the cashier hits total, it is not on regular prices but on your final price after sale and store discounts. I also was able to get clarification on Internet Printables and what will and will not double. Stores are given discretion on accepting IP's.
Thank you for taking the time to contact Roundy's with your Double Daze and Internet coupon policy inquiries. We are sorry for the delay in response.
You may use coupons up to $1.00 and only 5 coupons may be doubled per one shopping trip.
PNS and Copps customers must have their Pick 'n Save Advantage Plus Card or Copps Key Savings Card to receive double manufacturer's coupons.
Customer must spend $25 in a single transaction to qualify for double
Manufacturer's coupons. The $25 minimum purchase is after tax and after store coupons (i.e., when the cashier hits the total key).
Only manufacturer's coupons with a face value of $1.00 and under will be
doubled. Manufacturer's coupons with a face value greater than $1.00 will not be doubled (i.e., if a customer has a $1.25 coupon, it will not double).
No cash back will be given.
Alcohol and tobacco manufacturer's coupons may not be doubled.
These are the general guidelines for Internet "Cents Off" coupons. Please be aware that the acceptance of Internet coupons is up to the discretion of the Store Director.
The following are general guidelines we use to verify authenticity:
? Coupons can be printed in color or black & white as long as the
following items appear on the coupon:
? The words "Manufacturer Internet Coupon or Manufacturers Instant
Coupon" reads across the top
? URL address of the distributing website should be visible (usually on
bottom of coupon)
? A watermark (shaded in gray over the original copy) of some type e.g.
the words "Internet Coupon" or "Outlined Character" right of the
product logo
? A scanable bar code
? Billing address (where the coupon needs to be billed by our clearing
house)
? The customers name who is redeeming the coupon
? A unique pin number can identify the shopper who redeemed the
coupon
Our company uses great caution towards Internet manufacturer's coupons due to
the high activity of fraudulent coupons on the Internet. We do not accept free
item coupons from the Internet nor do we honor any coupons that appear to be
suspicious.
I hope this helps to answers your questions. Thank you again for contacting us.

I just had Rainbow turn down a Smart Source IP coupon because it did not have a url printed on it, I never paid attention to this before but none of them that I printed out yesterday had url info on them, but I know that they have taken them before . Has this happened to anyone else ?
Thanks![]()

I don't uses IPs very often (it seems like I never have any ink to print them!) so I don't really know, but another member posted here that she recently had an issue with IPs. I think the stores are just getting stricter because of the few bad apples that spoil it for the rest of us, KWIM? I am guessing the cashiers are hesitant to accept any kind of IP (even ones that are obviously 100% legitimate) just on the slight chance that the store wouldn't get reimbursed for it.
I sometimes have new cashiers that seem afraid to accept insert coupons - or even catalinas that printed from their own machines![]()

I did get a reply actully a couple of replys from the Roundy's main office on my question of Smart Source coupons . see below, I didn't include the persons name who replied and sent the policy but I can if you need it.
Dear xxxxxx
I have attached our internet coupon policy for your review. I will also send this to Front End Merchandiser for Rainbow to make sure that we don't have a training issue. It does not state anywhere in the policy that the coupon must read a particular web site.
Internet Coupon Policy
Policy
· We gladly accept internet manufacturer coupons.
o We do not limit the value of an internet coupon. $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, etc. are all acceptable values.
o If the value is “too good to be true,” the coupon is probably not legitimate.
§ Example 1: $15.00 off a bottle of Tide priced at $17.99 is not valid.
§ Example 2: $2.50 off a bottle of Tide priced at $17.99 is valid.
· We do not accept “Free Product” or “BOGO” internet coupons.
· Internet coupons are manufacturer’s coupons. As with all manufacturers’ coupons, we may only accept one coupon per item.
Does anyone know what Rainbow's policy on duplicate coupons is? Is there a limit on the number of identical coupons you can use for identical items? Like, I have 5 $1/1 Gain coupons, would I be able to use (and double) all 5 if I bought 5 bottles of Gain?
Also, can you combine a $off manufacturers coupon with a B1G1? Meaning, for example, would I be able to use the $0.75/1 AND the B1G1 coupons on Degree deodorant in the 5/22 inserts if I got two Degree deodorants?
Hello and welcome!
I moved your post to the Coupon Acceptance Policy thread so hopefully we can get some more answers here.
As far as I know, there is no limit yet on the number of identical coupons you can use in a transaction at Rainbow, Copps, or Pick 'n Save. I try to "fly under the radar" somewhat - if I have more than 5 of the same coupon, I usually split them up among more than one order. At times I have used 10 of the same coupon in one order with no issue, but I try not to draw too much attention that way on a regular basis.
If you have (5) 1/1 Gain coupons you should be able to double all 5. However, that being said, coupons will only double up to the regular shelf price of the item. If you are talking about buying the Gain Dish Detergent and using the coupons for Gain Dish Detergent, then I think the shelf price for that is normally only $1.19 or so. So those particular Qs would only double up to $1.19, not $2. If you are talking about buying Gain Laundry Detergent and using the coupons for Gain Laundry Detergent, I don't know what the shelf price for that is, but as long as it is over $2, the coupons should double up to $2.
I do not know the "official" policy on the BOGO and x/1 for these stores, but it's usually a YMMV situation (Your Mileage May Vary). Some stores will allow you to use a x/1 on the item that you are purchasing and a BOGO, which is used on the other one that you are getting free. You could not use a x/2 and a BOGO together to get just 2 items though (you'd need to buy 3 total to use those together). So for the Degree, you may be able to buy 2 and use both the 0.75/1 and the BOGO Q, but it may be up to the individual store.
Hope this helps!
