Memo Rainbow Foods ~ $25 for double coupons policy

Hello Rainbow Foods Shoppers

The thread discussing regular prices vs. promo prices for double coupons at Rainbow Foods has been removed.

It seems that there is some confusion about Rainbow Foods policy on if the $25 is before or after promo's. I have been told by a RF shopper that their policy is that you have to spend $25 after store promos and sale prices to be able to double.

I just called their customer service line. The phone lines are manned on weekends, but not by regular customer support staff so he was unable to answer for me what coupon policy is on this.

Please do not repost that info until I can find out what the exact policy is. As you all know here at HCW we want you to all save big money at the stores, by following store and mfr coupon policies.

That said, you all know we need a mod in here right .

Anyone interested can contact SBP!

I remember some time ago, there was a limit as to the number of coupons that could be doubled. Is that still the case?

Yes, it will only double your first 5 coupons, up to a value of $1 each, with a $25 purchase.
If you purchase $50 of goods it will NOT double 10 coupons. (It had in the past, but no longer)

And I assume if they say "do not double or triple" Rainbow does not double them, right?

geez, I am just full of questions today aren't I? ;)

One more question...so I have a coupon for $2.25 off electrasol that I need to use. Will that double up to the first dollar, meaning it becomes $3.25 off?

Well, the coupon police have to answer your question, but in my experience in the past, even if it said DND DNT if the UPC code on the coupon started with a 5 the cash register doubled it on it's own.
I don't really understand why some are DND, it's my unfounded belief that the store is the one doubling the coupon...they do not ask the manufacturer to double the coupon value. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm open to being corrected!

It has just added a $1 for the doubling in the past, for me, but they might have changed that.
You can ask at Customer Service before you shop. (Always ask before shopping, that way if there is a problem at check out you can say "___name__ at customer service looked at the coupon and said it's ok"

Anybody else know the answer?

A CSM told me that they disregard the DND for doubling coupons (YMMV) because they do not send the coupon in to the mfg to be doubled. She told me and the cashier that Rainbow is taking on the responsibility of the doubling side of the particular coupon. For instance, if you have $1/1 that you double that says DND, the mfg is responsible for the first $1 and Rainbow is responsible for the second $1. That is what the CSM told me at my store. As far as the 2.25 electrasol, like billig said, check with the CSM. I think it's best to check with your store to avoid having problems with the coupons. I haven't tried to double any coupons above $1. Let us know what you find out!

I think the answer is no to the doubling of anything over $1 I only had four coupons under $1 and some over and it did not double anything else.

Well here is what ended up happening. I went through and did the self checkout. My first 5 coupons were all $1 off (four said no doubling) and they all did do the store double making them $2 off.

I didn't bother with the higher value ones so I am not sure if they would have run up as $1 over that value or not.
