shannonjash, you should start writing/ emailing companies that you like and complimenting them on their products. Sometimes, they send a q for a free item, and that really helps a lot on double day.

Sometimes I whittle if I do multiple orders, just to see how low I can go. Otherwise like a previous poster said; I needed butter today...2/4, Ricotta for lasagna, bread, brat buns, fruit...etc. before I know I have hit the $25 mark with things I don't have coupons for.

And the $25 total is based on the total after my saver card is scanned or before? It's before any coupons, right?

The $25 is after store discounts (so yes, you are correct about after the card is scanned, and after any store coupons) and before man. coupons. :)

Deja vu, don't ya just hate it when you have $25 worth of stuff with no coupons. Makes me pout a little ;)

It is hard to do Melli, but there are so many things we can't live with out. I have an $800 monthly budget for my groceries, gas, and any non-necessity extras. It goes fast though when you cook a real meal for your family every night. $40 is just milk a month, $40 diapers and wipes, $30 in pet supplies, at least $50 in produce....etc. I know a lot of folks could do a lot with money, but we like real potatoes and have become accustomed to eating steak or other pricey cuts of beef several times a month.
