DD3 Rainbow July 6-12 Double Coupon Wednesday

I had relatives visiting until yesterday so I haven't had time to catch up on deals. On the way home today I decided to satiate my hunger at Rainbow so I could pick up the instore flyer. Unless I get a burst of energy later I won't be heading down there.

Yoplait Light or Whips! Yogurt, sel 4 - 6 oz varieties, 10/$4
There's .40¢/6 inserts out there. There's $1 IP's too, but that depends on your Rainbow taking them

    (.40¢ each, x 6 = $2.40 - .40¢ = $2.00 /6= .33 each)

I don't know if they changed the doubling or if it just never happened to me before. I bought an item that was on sale for $1 reg price was $1.29 I had a $1 off coupon for this and it was one of my 5 to double so it takes off the $1 then for the double it only takes off the .29 up to retail so I got .29 overage but was expecting the $1. I sked if this was new and the cust service person said you can not get overage. Maybe I just never had an item that was less than $2 normal price. Anyone know if this is new? or it was always like that. We only get a measly 5 coupons double once a week and then they do this??

zmique, was it one of the first five coupons the cashier deducted? I don't think I've ever bought something that gave me overage on a doubled coupon...I remember once I didnt' have the $1 ones in the top five and when I went to complain they told me it was overage...and the product was less than that but the coupon required you buy 2 of the item anyhow so it wasn't overage. i just left.
I might head over there now and see what happens.

I see I have the wrong coupon listed for the Dove icecream bars...that particular coupon is for the 15 oz containers. I have separate $1 coupons for the icecream bars that came from the inside of a package.

I eventually went to Rainbow. I wanted the Organic Valley 8 oz Whipping cream, and they don't even carry them! There were a few other things I wanted they were out of, but I got other things I wanted. I always plan for more than just 5 doubled coupon products.

On the overage for the $1.29 Hersheys 5 oz chocolate b1g1's I actually used one $1 coupon to double but bought 4 bars for .58¢.

Lubriderm in 6 oz size was on clearance for $1.69 and I used a .75¢/1, = .94¢ each

I went to Rainbow on Double Coupon Wednesday, and I actually regret going. There wasn't much of anything to get. I got two Tide detergents for $2.99 each, the Swiffer Dusters for $3.79, a 2 lb. package of strawberries for $2.99, Some 9 cent Dawn soap (I doubled a 50 cent coupon), and some nectarines. $20 bucks total! Now that I think about it, it was kind of a rip off. I'm considering not going next week. I prefer Cubs by a milestone.

Ok - so it's not just me. I did the yo-plus which came out free with $1 coupons doubled for 5 of them and then filler stuff to make it to the $25 I was hoping the Bertolli was still on sale for $1.25 and in stock - but no such luck back up to 2.69 or something like that.

But Cubs ad this week wasn't much better (which is ok - since last week I went there a lot for peanuts)

Actually, Cubs takes expired coupons, which helps A TON. I can usually get B1G1s with $_/1. The Olay Body Wash is at a decent price (with coupons of course), and you can get free Bic Pens this week. I also heard that there is a promotion dealing with movie tickets going on right now.

Go to the Cub Foods board - lots of info. I posted two threads about free Bic Pens and cheap Olay Body Wash. There is also a thread about a Catalina for Betty Crocker fruit snacks or something. betty2boop (I think that's her name) posted a good amount of info about prices included in the movie ticket promotion.

Yep I'm on there too. You're lucky if you get the casheirs that'll take the b1b1 and the $money off one. Mine look through my coupons with a fine tooth comb. I've still got two of the $6.50 catalinas from last week to use.
