New Mexico Pralines

Ingredients:
1 C firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 C white sugar
¼ C water
1/3 C melted butter
1 C pecans


Combine sugars, water, and butter in a deep saucepan.

Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches firm ball stage.

Stir in pecans.

Remove from heat and drop by spoonfuls onto a buttered slab. Work quickly as they cool fast and will harden in the pan.

When cooled and hardened, remove from the slab to a storage container.
