WOW thanks for the link.
Thanks for sharing that info.....I will not let my family use it.
Excellent heads up, Kathy. Repped ya!
I too had this same problem. I asked my hygienist about it at my last cleaning and she said their office had received many complaints. She seemed to think that Crest would have to change the formulation soon because of the levels of dissatisfaction with the product.
I'm hesistant to buy this even as a freebie because I don't think I'd feel right about donating it, and I'm certainly not going to use it myself!
My goodness!! My 15 yr old was using this! I just dumped it down the drain after reading the reviews. Ya know that's all I need, and she still has braces on! As if a 15 year old doesn't have enough drama!
From SW PA !!!!
Thanks. I read through it and this product has a love or hate response. I am going to use it because I have already done the deal and bought a big bottle last month. I believe I want healthy gums and think this is the reason it was developed. My dh has some mild gum disease and is using the Peridex which can do the samething. I am sure it is only staining the tartar build up and not the teeth. There is no way it could be on the market this long without it being pulled. I am glad you did give the heads up so I know to stop if I experience too much of the negatives and also know why. Funny thing is I just started to use the big bottle that I bought last month last night so have not been using it long enough to give a better response.
Thanks
I'm only doing this deal if I have to find a high $ fill item, and straight into the trash can outside CVS.... I refuse to use it, or donate it if it causes that much trouble...
crap! i have 15 bottles of this!
I had to use the Peridex too and it did NOT cause the staining, neither has the Crest Pro-Health. After having the start of gum disease (at age 21!) my dentist showed me how to brush correctly. If you can get the tartar and the plaque off then it won't stain. He said the stains people complained about were just where the dead bacteria were. I personally will continue to use it, but I guess I probably wouldn't let my children use it since children don't have very good brushing habits. I would rather read some real factual information about what causes these stains and whatnot rather than just product reviews. They all seem to be saying different things.
Thanks for posting this, OP!
