yeah, Craig does not get good reviews at all. Sometimes its better to splurge, esp for electronics, and get a known/reliable brand than waste your money on a knock off.
I'd bring them back to CVS for a refund!
DH and I each got one at CVS on Black Friday. We were so excited to be able to treat ourselves to new ones. We usually only choose one thing together for Christmas and this year we wanted new MP3 players. But they are horrible and we hate them. They’re on sale again so BEWARE!
- Touch screen is a joke.
- All play and display setting have to be reset every time players are turned on.
- Battery life is short because the display automatically sets to “always on” as mentioned above, unless you’re willing to reset it each time.
- Half of the time shuffle doesn’t work even though I reset it each time.
- When shuffle does work it seldom plays any songs past song #200.
- Cannot restart songs, if you select to go back it starts another song and not always the song just previously played.
- Sometimes they don’t finish songs before going to another.
- Often selecting to skip to next song will take you somewhere else and you have to backtrack though half a dozen screens to get back to where you need.
- When searching for a certain song the screen only shows 4 artists at once, you have to scroll across from screen to screen and the player does not arrange artists in alphabetical order. If you find you’ve went too far you can not scroll back the screen to the previous 4 artists, scrolling back will take back to the beginning.
- Players often freeze up while connected to a PC to where the PC no longer recognizes it as being connected, and there isn’t a way to disconnect without messing up the player’s content. DH had to delete all of his songs off his tonight because non of the songs were showing up even though his PC showed that something was using space on it.

Yea I know, but a bigger splurge wasn't in the budget. I (we) used ECBs so if I was able to find the receipts we wouldn't get full refunds. I do wish we had went a little higher and tried the Polaroids at Dollar General. They're on sale again, this time for $20.00 but we've already bought the Craigs.
We got the Polaroids for the kids, but we haven't tried them yet. They're 3 and 5, and I was not buying an expensive MP3 player for either of them even though they both asked for iPods for Christmas. Hubby and I both have older iPods, so they see us using them and wanted their own.
I heard from a friend that the Polaroid ones were pretty good for the money.

Sorry your Christmas presents ended up being sucky. I have bought a couple of Craig products but they have always been crap. I don't know how they are able to legally sell so much crap that doesn't work right.
