That's what I have. LG brand. Got it at Sears along with the matching dryer. Love them! Can do what equates to 4 loads in my old washer and dryer. I do very little laundry now.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I made somewhat of a decision this morning. I called and told them the one I had chosen (an LG) for them to tell me that they couldn't get that one and luckily I had picked a couple others because they they didn't give me a price range just a model number and said it had to be comparable in price. The ones I chose were close. I didn't mind paying a little difference but the price they told me after 3 phone calls was a lot less than what I had found on the web. I ended up getting the one the suggested. Just hope I like it.
Guess I maybe hunting me a new home warranty home company when this warranty with American Home Shield runs out next spring. Anyone got one you like?

We also have a Cabrio washer and dryer. It's is top loading, but doesn't have an agitator, so it's an HE. We've had ours five years. I LOVE the washer capacity. Saves time on doing fewer loads, and uses way less water than a traditional washer.

Actually, we have a Cabrio top loader without an agitator, and they still recommend leaving the door open too. I've gotten used to it.

We love our samsung front loader too.
No problems and have had it for years.
My sister in law got hers around 2006.
Figured if it lasted that family a year, then I could get a lifetime out of it.
They have 5 kids and do several loads each day.
The kids are rough on it.
I have seen them use regular detergent, swing on the doors, stand on the doors and over load it so bad it that it would barely close.

Their machine is still going - so I should get a lifetime out of mine.

I have a Whirlpool Duet and I love it. There two things to be aware of. Small things will go into the filter like baby socks or Purex laundry sheets and you have to take the front panel off of the washer to get to the filter I had to do it and it is a PIA to take the panel off because you have take bolts out. Samsung has seen that this is a problem and put a little door that flips down for easy access (Smart Samsung!!). The other thing is that we use too much detergent. I had to get my front loader repaired because the sensors went wacky. This is the first time that I had to have my wahser repaired and I had this washer for about 4 years still under warranty but warrany ends in Jan of 2012. The repairman told me that I was using too much detergent. He said to make your machine last longer use only 2 tablespoons of detergent. I have tried it and my clothes are just as clean and I wear white jackets to work. My 90 bottles of Wisk will last me a long long time.

I should have a new LG on Friday. Your suggestions have given me to lots to think about. I should have no problem leaving the door open because I have been doing that for a long time. My main problem I'm afraid will be remembering not to use as much detergent. I have lots of regular detergent to do something with too. So I guess I will be watching for sales on HE.

I don't use HE detergent in my samsung front loader.

I mix my reg detergent @
50% with water and then I only use 2 tbsp or 1/4C.

Pour 1/2 of a container into an empty jug and fill both bottles to top with water. Shake and now I have 2 bottles of HE detergent.
I do this with fabric softener too.
I use vinegar mainly, but one house member has to have the blue smelly stuff - so a bottle lasts me forever.

Only thing I wash twice are whites - but full strength in a top loader didn't get them clean with out adding stain stuff/bleach either or soaking for a long time. Always had to bleach and cascade them.
Now I do one cycle for cascade and then I restarted it with bleach.

We have red dirt around here.
Teenagers and kids outside without shoes should I say more?
    Works well.
