My parents Demo'd the Foodsaver over 15 years ago, we went to Roadshows, fairs, etc, so I've been a long time fan of the Foodsaver for years. I don't keep my unit out on the counter, and find it a little inconvienent to pull it out for small jobs. I found a deal on the little handheld Foodsaver Freshsaver (it was like 3.89 or something like that on-line, I bought 8 of them to use as gifts), and love it for the zipper bags and the little deli and leftover containers. I buy the Ziploc brand vacuum bags when I have a coupon and they are on sale, they work great with the freshsaver.

I still use the big unit for large jobs if I'm doing a lot of meat or something, but love the little handheld to reseal my cheese and such.
