Graco Lovin' Hug Infant Swing

I have now purchased two of these, and would not recommend them to ANYONE. I used Fisher Price with my DS, but thought this one was cute for my DD and went against my better judgement. The first swing I purchased we had to return because the AC Adapter plug kept shorting out and getting hot (not something you want to see in any infant swing). However, we exchanged it for another, and have only had this one for 2 weeks. My DD is 11 weeks, and around 12 lbs, but when I went to put her in it last night I am SO thankful that I had my hands on her, because once her weight hit the seat, right where her bottom goes (along a seam) it ripped! I sat her in the playpen to better look at it, and noticed it was ripped almost all the way across! Even though I had my hands on her she still started to slip through and would have hit the floor if I didn't have my hands on her! I called Graco, only for them to act like it was no big deal and all they said was that they had no other complaints but would forward it to the quality department. What is with product companies not taking things seriously? No wonder we have so many recalls now!

Oh man im sorry. I would be so mad if i had that swing. I have the fisher price rain forest one and im on my second baby with it. No issues. My graco stroller got recalled though cause the canopy chopped off a kids finger but i sent for a free cover for the metal part so when you open and close it there little fingers can't get stuck.

OMG!! That is so awful!! How scary!! I cant believe they did not take that seriously. I would call back and ask to speak to someone higher up. That is just too much and could have resulted in a serious injury!! I'm glad your baby is ok!

Love love love the fisher price rainforest one. I would demand your money back. Have you looked at the reviews online? Like on BRU to see if truly yours is the only one that has ever ripped like that.

I did on WM.com, but not BRU I didn't think about it for some reason. I tried to take it back to WM since that's where I purchased it, but they refused to give money back only said I could exchange even though I have my receipt. When I talked to CS at Graco they would not do a refund either so I suppose now I am stuck with a swing that will be in the trash, out money for the product, and will end up spending MORE money just to purchase another Fisher price swing for her since I know for a fact that I wouldn't have this problem or at least if I did they would take it more seriously and do something about it.
