Re: Wanting to try another deodrant.....what are your opinions??
I switch between Secret & Dove (sometimes Degree) I do prefer Secret Flawless and Dove Ultimate, but those are a tad more expensive over regular Secret & Dove deos.
I will not ever ever ever use Dry Idea or Lady Speed Stick. Both of those gave me a bad reaction under my arm!!

Re: Wanting to try another deodrant.....what are your opinions??
I love Dry Idea. There were some $1 off coupons for it just the other day and the last time I bought it CVS had a BOGO on it so maybe that's coming up again.
Like a couple of others mentioned, I occasonally have to rotate brands because what I'm using becomes ineffective so I usually have 5 or 6 deoderants open at once.
On another note I just read an article the other day about how more people these days are not using deoderant/anti-perspirants at all. That it's the industry that has made us feel that we'll smell bad if we don't and in most situations showering regularly is all you need.
One more thing - a good thing about Dry Idea is the container is clear (at least mine are but they were purchased several months ago) and you can see at a glance exactly how much you have left.

Look on the back of each stick your considering. It will show the active ingredient and how much is in it. I go with Secret because it can give me the highest % without being clinical and being super expensive. *and I agree about the clinical not being so great...unless you use it exactly as the directions say...bah*
I believe Secret's % is normally about 18-19%. Dove has some that is 14%. I love how degree smells but I was always wet with Degree.
I think my favorite is the vanilla flavored.

Re: Wanting to try another deodrant.....what are your opinions??
sitting here chuckling ... both DH and I use Secret powder fresh solid. Hey! I figure if they advertise it's "strong enough for a man, made for a woman" we can both use it!
Been using it over 30 yrs. As a kid, all that was available was roll on ... YUK to be wet, then it was supposed to dry and work -- no a/c back then, Houston humidity ... you NEVER dried!
My sinuses don't like perfumes, so I stay with the Powder Fresh solid version. I tried a "new" kind of Secret (can't remember what it said), but it was just a fancy version of the roll on ... went on wet.
When I'm really doing manual work, get a infrequent (now! thank goodness) hotflash, or it's extremely hot/humid, ain't nothing gonna keep me from sweating (oops, "perspiring" ..., "ladies don't sweat"
Good thing I never claimed to be "lady," just female!!).

I use Dove or Degree. You can usually find good coupons for both and they both work really well. :-)

Degree works really well, but it's a little hard to get completely off in the shower at the end of the day. It puts a thick barrier on you, that really sticks to you. I guess that's why it works so good.
