u-b tampon warning....PLEASE READ....

I am not going to put in all the details but please be very care as you try these...... I took my twins swimming so here I go and use a simple of the new u-b kotex tampon I got in the mail. I checked the string and all before I use the thing but 2 hours later there was no string!!!! I had to go to the ER to get the thing removed..and to beat it all I find out that this is a very common problem...you need to always double check them and dont use them if you have any question about them in your mind this is for any brand you choose to buy or use..but I thought the one I used was fine it look it the string was on there good but I guess it was not.......

The Dr said at least I knew it was still there and it was not there for a month or two until I was in so much pain I had to come to the ER like many women have to....it can cause a really bad infection he has had to put women in the hospital for this matter...

This is Not a joke and I was so ashamed to have to go to the ER for this, so posting it here is not that hard for me for I dont want any of you to have to go through what I did....

Oh - poor you! This happened to a friend of mine in college - she was mortified, but like you she warned all of us about this. Sometimes I feel so distracted that I fee like I could be one of those that "forgets" and ends up with toxic shock syndrome! Thanks for the post.

I've been nervous of those ones too. I got a sample of them previously and didn't like them at all. I like there regular kind just fine though.

I would guess that if you left it in for a month or two it was because you forgot about it, not because the string came off.

Of course, if you're brave enough to dig it out yourself, you could save a trip to the ER.

I had to do that when I was a teenager. Freaked me out completely, but my mom said it was either that or ER, so I did it. I wish I remembered the brand I was using at the time...
