HELP Your opinion on Swiffer sweeper VAC

Question: i am contemplating buying Sweefer sweeper vac. trying to figure out 2 things. 1. price and 2. if it will do what i want it to do.

we have a dog that comes home very dirty, talking about dry dirt. the wet stuff is dried before she is allowed past the hallway. floor is all tile. need something that is rechargeable, light and picks up well.

was looking at this sweefer sweeper and they are $40 at Kmart. i would never pay that, but i have a $10 Q plus free refill Q when buying starter kit, plus i would use $5 off $50 at kmart and can get things that are FAC there too to get to 50. i will probably only need 2 crest TP that are 2/$6 this week but FAC or i just found a few might dog free Qs. i will have to pay tax, but tax on around $50 is $3.50 here. so my cost would be around $28.50 with tax and i can file for $10 P&G rebate. so OOP 18.50 with tax.

is it worth it? anyone has any experience with this product?
    any input is appreciated. thanks

    Yeah.. its horrible!

I have a dog, and hardwood floors.. I thought it was a match made in heaven.. WRONG!

1st, the charge lasts like 10 mins max!

2nd, it clogs easily with lots of dog hair

3rd, the compartment that holds what you have sucked up, its about the size of a golf ball, so I have to empty mine 4 times just to do my family room!

4th, the filter thingy, if you can even call it that, is very hard to clean.

    Final though.. save your money!

Sorry MrsAlias, can't rep you, but really appreciate the input. did you find a solution to this? the regular vac is too big to lug around for this. any ideas? I don't have dog hair on the floor (mine does not shed), so that is not a problem, but the dirt is a killer. thanks again.

I have one and im pretty impressed. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, 4 kids well 5 if you include DH lol. Anyways I know what you mean by your dogs coming home dirty...Our backyard is a mudpit and i have to huge dogs and as soon as the jump off the deck they sink in the mud. I use mine daily...sometimes twice a day. Its very lightweight too, my 6 year old loves to run it!

Oh if you have a BJ's near you and your a member its 36.99 there. Comes with 2 boxes of the mopping pads and a box of filters (2 in it) ...
