I need reviews on carpet cleaners

I am looking to get a carpet cleaner ASAP, mostly to clean up pet messes. I am looking for reviews, good or bad. I normally read amazon reviews, but I want to hear first hand from people I know. Thanks.

Hover SteamVac3 love it.. the cost was min to I think I paid like $79 and it worth lots more to me than that. It makes my tan carpet look new

I have the Hoover SteamVac Spinscrub. Love it for pet messes. I find that for tough pet messes, adding BioKleen Oxygen Bleach Plus to the cleaning solution helps a bunch!

Whoops, guess I should mention I got the Bissell Proheat 2x. Roscoe had several "explosive" accidents in my bedroom the other night, and there was just no way possible to clean that up by hand. I went out and bought one that night. My room still reeks. :sad:

It's probably in the pad. You need to call a carpet cleaning company...they need to pull the carpet up in those spots, replace the pad if needed....clean underneath the carpet, let it dry.

come back again and lay the carpet back down and clean the top of it.

Call around to a few different companies...tell them the situation and have them give you an estimate. I was an apartment manager...and we had to do this a few times, although mostly for water damage...but basically the same process. it wasn't as expensive as we thought it would be.

We have a Bissell Little Green. It is a hand vac--small and portable. So far, we love it. It isn't great for large areas, because of the time involved, but if you are just doing smaller spots, it works great. Not to be gross, but my youngest had awful reflux so we were ever cleaning the carpet and sofa with the Little Green. It also works great for spills, dirt, etc. that my two boys (under age 4) dish out.

I agree. My carpets look great. They just don't smell the best...
