Have a favorite pillow type or brand? Know any good deals on bed pillows?

We need to replace our beyond wore out bed pillows. My pillow is literally falling apart. Problem is I can never find a pillow Im happy with!
We even bought the uber expensive "perfect" pillow many years ago when they came out and I hated them way to hard.
Any suggestions on a not to soft not to hard just perfect for goldilocks
pillow.

Not the cheapest, but my suggestion is to do what we did years ago. Head to BB&B and find what feels right. I have 2 pillows I LOVE. I dont always use both but depending on how I want to sleep I have 1 that suits me. They are both goose down but one is somewhat firm and the other is a big loose bag of down that is easy to shape and squish into the space between my shoulder and head when Im laying on my side. Both have ticks and covers making them yuk proof and washable. They were pricey but I may not have to buy another pillow as long as I live.

The only place like that is about 2 hours away from here so we generally just go to Kohls or Walmart or the like and their selection stinks. And buying online is a hige gamble.
I think we probably do need to go to a store like BB+B and try before we buy

Ok, I am a cheapy pillow person, a) because I wash them (kinda germaphobic) and b) because I replace them at least every 6-8 months, if you have an IKEA close to you they have some decent "cheap" pillows, that mostly everyone in my household likes..........they were like five bucks a piece but I am not sure as to what they are called, I tried to look on the tag, but I cut them off, sorry! HTH :)

We like the not-too-cheap but can be had on sale Down Around version at JCPenney. Foam pillows very easily give me a sore ear because I sleep on my side a fair amount. For extra loft as they deflate over time, hubby stuffs two into one pillow case for me.
