Default Steam cleaners for floors, looking for a review from owners

I keep seeing all the infomercials and i am starting to get tempted, i see the shark one and the hun and another that i cant remember right now but i wanted to know from someone who owns one how they really work, do they really do what you see on tv, have you ever used it on the carpet, do the washable covers that come with them actually come clean in the wash and do they last? are they made to last? how often before you have to refil it, will it finish a room with one tank?

i'm sorry i have so many questions, but i hate falling for the infomercial garbage and using no chemicals is a plus, i have a huge messy dog and an about as neat 6 yr old and i am constantly swiffering and going through those refils.

if you do have one, please let me know where you bought it from and the price point i should look for

thanks so much for your help

I love love LOVE my shark steam mop pocket. They are made of microfiber fabric so they are reusable for a while I'm sure. I've had it for about a month now. Use it ALL the time on my dining room/kitchen floor.

I would love to hear some reviews too! I have watched the Hann infomercial like 5 times but still can't bring myself to pay the $. Do they carry these @ Bed, Bath and Beyond?

I have the HAAN and I love it. It really works. We had a very gross spot that was hidden under the stove. I mean it had to have been there for years. I used the HAAN and it was gone after about 30 seconds. I had previously used several chemicals cleaners on it and none of them worked. I also use it in our "cat room", where we keep their litter box and food and such. It works wonders. I am a bit weird and I bought different pads for the different rooms I use it in. I hate to cross contaminate things. I also bought the tray things for carpets/furniture. I found that to be a great investment also. I bought all of my things from QVC. I got the steamer on their easy pay thing they do. I didn't feel as bad buying it since it was only $20 something a month for 6 months. The only thing I don't like about the HAAN is that it doesn't get the area behind the toilet. It may be different for other people. I have an old house so it may be just mine. I use mine several times a week. I love how I can clean my kitchen and bathroom without having that sticky residue left over from the chemical cleaners that need to be rinsed with water afterward. I even use it to clean the tubs. My son got a bad case of folliculitis last year from the chemical I used to clean the tub. I thought I had rinsed it out good enough, but I hadn't. For that reason alone I got the steamer. I never want him to have to go through that pain again. My son (who is 8) loves to used it. He likes to do his bed with it. It has helped alot with his dust mite allergy. I don't know what it does to them, but I have noticed he has been getting through the night without coughing/sneezing/wheezing. For furniture/bedding, you can take off the handle and just use the base which makes it really easy.
